Ok how do you convince your parents that you want to go back to WDW? We went last October and I want to go back so bad! I talked to my mom about going this August and she thinks it's ok. But she asked my dad and he flat out said no. So now I've got to convince him because I don't want to use our DVC points elsewhere! Anybody have any suggestions????? I'm desprete here!!! :D :D

I just went to Disney in November but I convinced my parents to go again in August lol (kinda like your situation). This is how I did it....told them I'm a junior in high school, I'll be in college soon. This is one of our last chances for a family trip. Then I mention how I'm such a good kid that doesn't do anything bad, while most other kids out there are horrible. I tell them I deserve another trip lol. And if they say "well why don't we wait until next year" I tell them I don't wanna go during the school year and have to miss work. All this actually worked! lol

I'm only a freshman, but the "I'll be in college in a few years and we won't be able to go on family vacations" is working for me too. (of course it helps that my mom is constantly wanting to go back to WDW too):)

I really like Becca's and Marissa's ideas! Also, you just might want to try saying how much your parents would enjoy the trip and how much they could get out of it!

Good Luck! :D

everyone has great ideas!

believe me im not the best person to ask..my mom has planned 4 trips for this year! and my dad is ok with all of them...we are one big disney obsessed family

how about you and your mom go and leave your dad at home?
i mean DVC Is a bunch of money and its a waste if you arent going to use the points...you might be able to try that on your dad....or ask your dad in his sleep...we've done that a couple of times! hehe!

lol...my mom is like when you get to college you can still go to wdw with us..and the best part is you'll be out early and we can go in off-season! :D

Insted of going in August why not try to convince your dad to go in one of the later months like October. The summer monthes are often too hot and busy for alot of people and you often get longer lines for the rides and showes. To puersuede your dad you could also do more chores around the house and now and again have occasional talks with your mum about going to WDW when hes in the room. Whenever you go shopping with your family point out things like Disney books, toys and other merchandise BUT dont go over the top nagging him otherwise he will be most likley to say no.

!!Good Luck!!

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I've gotta try like all of it cause I really want to go!!! The reason I want to go in August is because then we could go for a week, where in October we'd only be able to go for 5 days, and I'd still be missing 2 days of school!!! And I can't really afford to do that next year. :( Yeah I dunno, weather isn't really an issue with me because when we went last October it got down to like around 50 degrees!!! :) Thanks again for the advice!!!

:smooth:
