I've read all over here about Baggilinis. Now I want one but I have a perfectly fine healthy back bag to take to the parks next week. I do not need a Baggilini, but I drive by Marshalls a bunch of times a day and my resistance to going in is wearing down. Someone tell me the Baggilinis aren't all that, lol.

I used my baggalini twice. It's a nice pack but it didn't really work out for me. I haven't used it really since 2008. I used it on a cruise and on a trip to Vegas or some other gambling place. I think if you like a back pack it's fine. But I decided that it was not quite big enough for me (mines a square small pack that is not very wide). I wanted to carry my stuff but still have room for small purchases or water bottles or even a jacket.

On small trips where I'm not carting stuff, I was better off with just a cross body purse. On bigger trips I think I"ll stick with my Jansport denim single compartment daypack. (I've had that one almost 10 years and the one I had before I carried for 12 years, so maybe I'm just used to it.)

I'm afraid I can't help you. I love my Baggalini, and have been thinking about getting another one. I bought a khaki colored one so that even a male would be comfortable carrying it, but I would really like a pink one. Or maybe purple. Red would be nice too though....;)

Okay, in the spirit of the budget board, I'm going to give you some tough love! If you honestly and truly are perfectly fine with your current park bag, don't do it! :thumbsup2

I don't know anything about baggalinis since I'm not a purse person in the least, but I do know that since I've been hanging out on the budget board for the last couple months, I've gotten so much better about buying more crap I don't need. I mean, if you buy the baggalini, not only did you spend the money on it, but now you have this other bag that's perfectly good but is now just taking up space in your closet. Do that enough times, and you have a clutter problem! Then you have to go to all the trouble of de-cluttering and trying to sell the old stuff or just donating it, etc, etc, etc! It will create a whole vicious cycle!

That, or you'll just have a new bag that you love and probably got at a deal if you got it at Marshalls. :rolleyes1

So sorry, I'm no help. But I'm going to try to stay off this thread so I don't hear too many good things about baggalinis and decide I need one, too!

Okay I had a messenger. It looks like they may have changed it a bit but still basically the same thing. I did like the lightweight fabric. It was the ripstop fabric.

Just think, if you skip the bag at home, you can look for a Disney Dooney at WDW!! Ummm, this may not be the best advice however.;):rolleyes1

I prefer a back bag at the parks. By the time I stuff a shoulder bag full of all the crap I want in there, my shoulder hurts by the end of the day. All Disney rides are set up to store a backpack, even Everest and SM. You don't need a Baggalini!!

Okay think about this. Save your money, more money to spend in the parks.Okay thats just me. Im a purse person too. I have way too many. YIKES!!! JO:lmao:

DON'T DO IT!!!:rotfl2:

I got a baggalini at Marshall's for last year's trip and I HATED it. The strap dug into my shoulder and irritated my neck. I will not be carrying it again this year.

disclaimer.....there's a slight chance that I may have overpacked it and that may have caused the issues. :rolleyes1

you've sold me, I'll stick with the bag that I know is comfortable. I'd hate to get a baggilini and then have the strap bug me all week.

Dooney Mickey is def out of the question, lol

Unless the Baggalini can run and get fastpasses for you or something similarly magical :wizard:, just stick with your current bag.

lol.

Little does he know it, but my brother will be fulfilling that role!

Overrated in my opinion. I agree w/ the pp who said it digs into your shoulder and it hurts!

I found that there were so many compartments I couldn't find anything!!

If you have a comfy bag stick with it and splurge on a nice bag when you get to Disney.

I saw them at TJMaxx- so for $19 I was tempted- but they only had black- and honestly it didn't seem so great to me. I use my Vera Hipster in the parks and my kids as my pack mules- that works for us!:rotfl2:

yeah, I was the pack mule last time. I figure this time, at 11 and almost 13 you have the strength to manage your own bag.

My DD's been carrying her own lightweight backpack since she was 7! Of course she did lose it once and it was a tense few minutes till we confirmed that lost and found had it -- it had ALL her autographs in it! But I think it was a lesson for her, she's never misplaced it since! :thumbsup2 I got VERY tired after our first trip of carrying everyone's crap! You want to have stuff in the parks or buy stuff in the parks, you carry it!

I carry my purse with me everywhere except DS's ball games. I need to have it for all the little things I might need at the store, work etc.. however I do keep it small. That said, I found at Disney, all I needed was my room key, ID and cell phone. You don't need a bag for that if you're wearing anything with a pocket. Why weigh yourself down?

My last trip all I carried was a change purse with my id credit card and room key. I wore a water bottle on a strap and brought a chap stick in my pocket. It was the best vacation ever. No more bag lines. If my kids wanted to bring something, they were in charge of carrying it (they didn't bring much). Everyone agreed it made the trip so much better.
