for three year olds!

I like to make really 'cute-sie' holiday theamed treats - but I can't find an easy to make - HEALTHY one!

Got any ideas ladies???

Not sure how healthy this has to be, for instance is there a medical consideration you need to accomodate or just something other than candy and cookies to off set the inevitable sugar overload?

If it is the latter, do you have a heart shaped cookie cutter that could be used to cut out say little cheese sandwiches?

That is my immediate thought, if something else sparks I'll get back to you!

This was a hard one, anything I thought of used candy in some way. What kind of healthy are you looking for? Would jello jigglers, or rice krispie treats cut into hearts be too sugary?

Other recipes I came upwith include: Frozen fruit and yogurt pops in pink and red, Nutty jumbles which are made with chopped almonds, pecans and walnuts and chould be molded into heart shapes before baking, and I also have a recipe for apple jiggles which uses apple juice, unflavored gelatin and cut up fruit and can be cut into heart shapes like jigglers. Let me know if you want any of these recipes.

How about baking your child's favorite muffins and putting plastic valentine picks in them?

I think I'm going to bake a batch of Rice Krispy Treats, and shape them into a funnel. When cooled, wrap with aluminum foil & have a tag out of the top..."A Kiss from Kendall"... (her dada will love it! ;) ) (then, I'll get to eat it!! :p )

My friend just called with this same problem! Her preschool son's teacher is a real health nut so I suggested Strawberry muffins! Red and festive! I'll search some of my old preschool books for more. In my classroom the sky was the limit for holiday!

When my kids were little I made Knox Blocks - which were just Jello Jigglers w/o the Jello. For Valentine's Day, something red was always a hit - like Juicy Juice. They were plenty sweet with the natural sugar in them. I have heart-shaped molds from Jello, but a cookie cutter would serve the same purpose.

What if you made an angel food cake (relatively low in sugar and fat) in a heart shaped pan, and then serve it with bright RED, juicy, delicious strawberries! I just bought some at our grocery store the other day- first crop of the year...they were so delicious and made me hopeful for an early Spring. Yummy...

Peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches cut with a heart shaped cookie cutter. Just use wheat bread.

Or is you have that pampered chef tube shaped like a heart make mini heart shaped sandwiches .
