My husband and kids gave me a diamond pendant on a delicate chain at Christmas almost 30 years ago. I almost never take it off, except to replace the chain once in awhile, or to swim or something like that. Anyway, the chain must have broken yesterday, and my necklace is gone. My husband has a picture of me wearing the necklace until at least 11 am, so I know I had it until then.

Yesterday we took the boat from Epcot to Hollywood Studios around 11 am. We checked in at the Brown Derby, then wandered through "Walt Disney, The Man and His Dream", then went back to the Brown Derby for lunch at noon. Then we took the boat back to the Beach Club, where we sat around the pool until it was time to take Magical Express to the airport around 3. (I also used the restroom at the BC.)

Anyway, if anyone happens to find a small diamond (less than 1 carat), set in a pronged, yellow gold pendant setting, could you please let me know, and turn it into Lost and Found? It could have disappeared at WDW or on Magical Express, or at the Orlando airport, on our SW flight or at BWI. I've filed reports in all those places.

I know this is a long shot, to ask dis-ers to keep their eyes peeled, but I hate to lose this necklace. It has a great deal of sentimental value to me, and I'd really appreciate the help. :flower3:

UPDATE:
I had totally given up, but this morning I was wearing a robe I hadn't worn since the morning after we got home from WDW. My husband asked me, "what's that thing around your neck?" It turned out to be the chain to the pendent....which meant that the pendent had to be in the house somewhere. After a 10 minute search with flashlights, we found it!!

Thanks to everyone who cared!!! I'm about to call the Lost and Found departments I reported the loss to to let them know.

Good luck! I hope you find it {{hugs}}. No trip to WDW is complete for me without a stop at the Lost & found.

So sorry, I hope it is found. I always wear a gold butterfly 16" necklace that was my inheritance from my grandmother. I have worn it for 11 years, but plan to take it off before my trip for this very reason.

Did you report it officially? You never know. It is worth a try. There are lots of honest people who would turn it in if they found it.

Oh no! We will be boating from the Studios to Epcot this weekend, so I'll keep an eye out around the Brown Derby and on the boat. Good wishes your way!:thumbsup2

Thanks, everyone, for your comments.

(And I actually did file a report right away with the Beach Club, WDW Lost and Found, Mears (Magical Express), MCO, my airline, and BWI.)

No luck so far, unfortunately.

Cool news.

But I am so curious what you meant.

How did putting a robe on from home, result in the chain reattaching around your neck-just baffled.
