Help i have the disney blues!!

This time last year I was getting ready to go to florida!! We have no trips planned and i am sad!!LOL!! In fact we have no holidays booked at all. sad times I seem to torture myslf all the time by pricing up trips we can't go on! It truly is an illness!

I know exactly how you feel! I've had the blues since May 2010!! And like you, we don't even have any holidays planned this year, apparently we have to do grown up things

I get that illness as well I seem tobe ok at the moment as have a trip to look forward to.
But I do know exactly what you mean because I also do the 'this time last year' bit! and this time last year I was also looking forward to an upcoming trip in Feb.
Its the time of year also, the dark nights, the cold mornings etc etc you just long to feel that sun.
So all in all I so haven't helped you one bit, sorry about that!!!!!!!

It is hard watching everyone else go while you're at home in the cold &/or rain!

I'm desperately looking forward to Butlins as it's our first holiday since 2008 and WDW is still a long way off (although now it's 2012 it is a year closer!)

Disney blues is definitely the worse, I'm sure you will have another trip planned before you know it, I think if you have a want to do something there is a way to make it happen, even if it takes a few years, you will be back

Hubby is exactly the same. If his laptop is switched on, it will have Virgin Atlantic and the Disney Cruise Line pages open. I just wish he'd book something, this time of year is depressing enough

I've been going through it as well. I'm always pricing up things. Hopefully booking a holiday this week though not to WDW.

I had the Disney Blues from 2009 onwards. The only known remedy is a new ticker

I have a bad case of "Disney Cruise Blues" which is a varariation of the same strain. We decided to have no major trips in 2012 so we can sort the house ... but I am deserate to get something in the bag for 2013 so that I can get through 2012 with my sanity intact. That said I have planned lots of weekends away and hope to go to Disneyland Paris in October ... symptom alleviation but not a complete cure for the "Disney Cruise Blues"

more sympathy here too. This morning at silly o'clock I priced up a 2013 holiday and it actually wasn't as expensive as I feared! There's no way we can afford to go this year but booking for August 2013 will at least give me something to look forward to. After the hell that was 2011, I really need something good to focus on. Hope to have a new ticker sorted by the end of next month.

I am also having the 'Disney-Blues' I have been to Orlando, FL 3 times already. But when I came back from my holiday there two weeks ago (11th April) I have just been like sad ever since it will not go away. I just want to ask my family to book again I have not felt like this any other time I have been everytime someone mentions Disney I just begin to tear up even when I am watching Disney movies in my home or in the cinema I start saying 'I wish I was still there when Cinderella's castle appears on the opening screen'

i have them too we have been tempted by the Free DDP for 2013 but after buying a house, I don't think a trip is on the cards at the mo. Maybe with a little faith, trust and pixie dust (and some hard saving!! ), I'm sure it won't be too long

We are still suffering the Disney blues too ever since we came back in 2009, we have tried to avoid getting too wrapped up in getting back though.

DH changed his role at work and has been working night shift for almost a year now. DS has settled into Comprehensve school and is currently sitting exams. I'm trying to get through a company resizing and relocation so I have asked to take voluntary redundancy, I'm not relishing 4 hours travel a day on public transport to work in another town I will never see my family at that rate since we are working odd shifts at the moment so someone is home with DS at night and first thing in the morning to make sure he's ok. So we have watched Disney blue ray DVDs and I listen to Disney radio and we both mix it up with some great American country music this has been our life line to all our lovely holiday memories until we know what will happening for us next year.

Where work is concerned I have to wait to find out what's going to happen and when before we can even think about going back to WDWOur office is due to close next summer but another office close to us is closing this October so there are lots of people in the same boat I know and it makes everything uncertain but we are hoping for a satisfactory outcome. Due to my health issues I can not go back to the role I had before our son was born so that has been ruled out and I hope the management understand this. So this time next year we may have to think about our priorities and go from there. We know it's going to be difficult and we do hope to get back to WDW at some point in the next two years maybe to celebrate our anniversary . Until then we will pop into forums and check out Disney news from time to time.

Brilliant well done!
well we are trying to sort all our bills out, and do loads of work on the house as its been neglected for a long long time, Florida won everytime over the house!
dh is 50 this august, we were planning on a week in vegas but dont think it will happen, i'm also looking at st pete beach, just need to work out what the prices are which one will be the cheapest and can we go another year without getting on top of all that needs doing here.
