OP, I'm glad that you're feeling better. It sounds like it was horrible! I got chicken pox when I was 22-felt lousy, had a headache and then saw a few spots so I went to the Dr. He diagnosed it right away and gave me some sort of Herpes meds. They really helped! All the spots that came out after I started the meds came and went pretty quickly, but the few I had before lasted a week or so. I know I had a mild case but just wanted to tell people that you should go to the Dr if you gat the pox as an adult.

Jess, I'm so glad to hear you are doing better each day. We've all been worried about you. This is quite an ordeal you are going through. Take it as easy as you can which can be difficult when you have a family but please try because you need to take care of yourself right now. You will be feeling a whole lot better in time for WDW and will definately need that trip. Take care.

I am so sorry you are going through this. It must be miserable. I have a younger sister who has never had the chicken pox. I'm afraid this may happen to her one day.

I wonder why adults who haven't had the chicken pox don't get the vaccination. A friend of mine was getting ready to have some fertility treatment and the doctor made her get the vaccination first, because she had never had the chicken pox. I think she had to have two doses that were a month apart.

My youngest DS got the vaccination and was later exposed to the chicken pox. He got an very mild case. It seems like it would work the same for adults.
