between the 1 week vacation (did do Storyland and kyacked 5 miles on the Saco River) and then 2 long weekends both with walking. I just can't get back in the swing of things I had been doing the 2 &3 mile WATP for the abs tapes and 1/2 mile on the elliptical. We also bought 2 kyacks and with all this blasted rain the river by us is moving so fast theres no way I'm going in that. I have managed to behave on my eating and have lost a lb though this but I need to get my butt moving. (OH TRACY) or any one else out there frustrated and need to kick something I really need it again. (TigH no fuzzy tigger slippers this time I think I need the steel toed work boots.
I really need to work off some of my stress and thats not enough motovation for me any more!

Just need weather to cooperate with you!! Maybe you need a game plan for when weather sabotages your attempts. I make a habit of walking 4 miles every am at 5:50 - if it's raining I have to go to the YMCA and do treadmill/weight training for over an hour. In ten days I take about 2 break- days (rest!) If I do anything above/beyond that it's just icing- hey, you've LOST a pound- that's AWESOME!!! Some weeks you're gonna blow the exercise out of the water and some weeks may be slacking- just try to find something as your "mainstay" that gets you into a rhythm of exercising consistently. Practice portaging that kayak around the block- that'll give your upper arms a workout! :) I think you're doing great- just keep it up!!

Okay, tiggereyore, consider this an official "kick"!

So you fell off the wagon for awhile. I don't think there's anyone on this board who hasn't done that at least once, so let go of the guilt. You're human. The important thing now is to MAKE THE CHOICE!

Do you want to be strong, healthy and slim? If you say yes, then you're halfway there. You know you're eating right, which is such a powerful choice to make! Good for you!!!

Now make another choice TODAY to be active. Make a choice to get around the excuses. You don't have to conquer the world - just do one thing today that gets you up and moving, even if it's only for ten minutes, and you're on your way! You're doing it!!!

I know you can, and more importantly, YOU know you can! Exercise is a commitment you make to yourself. You DESERVE to be healthy and beautiful, and working out gives you those things, so get after it! Give yourself the care you deserve!

(Was that too strong a kick? Didn't mean to get all emotional...)

Good luck - you can do it,

Daisy;)

I know that I can do it.
Daisy that wasn't hard at all I need to take a look at myself. and I know that I want to be a better healthier person. I just need to get back in the routine of it and getting to bed earlier to get in that am workout in.
Tara I really wish the rain would give up. Last yr we needed it now theres the water running down the street. This winter I plan on joining the fitness club but all summer theres no time. I love swimming but I hate working out in front of other people literally I go nuts and start feeling dizzy.
Well time to get to work and drink that water!!!

Lately I've been motivated by the fact that I FEEL so much better when I exercise and I feel SO awful when I don't!

I get so grumpy w/my kids and hubby when I don't exercise in the morning...I feel bad for them.

So it's easier to peel myself out of bed when I know how much better I'll feel afterward.

OK, you posted that you needed a kick and you have gotten that. Now since you posted that means that you are accountable and we expect to hear of your activity for the day. I know that I feel so much better when I exercise. I do take a couple of days off, but I really don't feel as good. Just think of how great you're going to feel once you get back into your routine.

We know you can do this and YOU know that you can do this. Get up and moving and we'll all be looking for your report;) .

Your right I am accountable for it to everyone that helps me (not just to myself) I walked abt 3/4 mile down my huge hill and up it not once but twice today. Then started hoeing out the house for the yard sale I'm having in 2 weeks. (This may not seem like much but........) 10 trips on the basement stairs (ankle still is right from the kyacking trip 3 weeks ago) bending crawling under the boys beds, closets bookcases and so forth if we haven't used it in 6 months its outta here. I drank my water (for the most part) had a couple of extra glassed of Ice Tea (100% humidity does you in) This week is BF so I really don't want to look at the scale the meds I take to help PYCOS really make it an awful week so I'm trying to get going to help it. Well tomorrows dutys include laundry and cleaning( excuse me hoeing) out the basement. Now to find some extra minutes for my WATP tapes. I'm going to fall into bed now. See you all tomorrow.

It sounds like you had a very busy day yesterday and got lots of exercise in. Good for you. You drank your water and you'll probably get used to drinking even more of that instead of the tea. I hope that you have had a good day today and got everything accomplished that you wanted and hoping that you found a few minutes for your tapes today. I'm sending you PD for your BF week as it sounds like you'll be needing it.

Keep up the great work!

Okay, Christy... just take it one day at a time.

It sounds like you're VERY active, but your routine has taken a tumble lately. You don't have to jump back into your entire routine all at once- just take it day by day.

It's raining? Sounds like a good time to pop in WATP. Pop in the 3 mile tape, and stop after 2 miles if you really need to. (Once I hit that 2 mile mark, I usually figure I might as well do the final mile!) Alternate days with the elliptical. When the river's safer, throw your kayak in.

(And it doesn't sound like you've strayed very far. You have no problems with the food- YAY! You've been very active, just not in your usual routine.)

Once you just get started, I'll bet you find yourself back in the groove right away. WATP tonight- the first step is the hardest!
