HELP!!! I can't stop buying my DD clothes at Gymboree!

I have decided to boycott our Gymboree. Every time I got in there, I can NEVER find anything for DS. Everything is for little girls...it used to make me SO mad that I just decided to never go in there again! My mom buys most of DS's clothes...she buys so much that we've only bought him clothes for special occasions when I wanted him to have a specific outfit. I'm an only child and DS is the first grandchild so my mom has gone overboard! LOL! Everytime she comes visit she has at least 2 or 3 outfits for DS!

I do LOVE Carter's...we have a carters outlet here and sometimes they have a 50% off sale which is great! I love their clothes and they have TONS of little boy things!

If you have a smaller Gymboree I can imagine getting frustrated. I work at a Tier 1 (large and has everything) and our entire back wall and pinwheels is boys. I usually never have a problem finding lots of cute stuff for Elliot. In fact, sometimes I have as hard of a time controlling myself on his stuff than on Moira's stuff. :p Right now they have some bugs/frogs stuff that is really cute.

However, for Mo...I'm an accessory addict. I usually only buy one or two outfits from every line but I have to have the hair accessory, shoes/sandals, sunglasses. ;)

m&m's - You didn't like the Strawberries line? I loved that. The next line is apple themed but there seems to be some palm tree/hula girl stuff in it too. I like the palm tree and hula girl stuff. Maybe there is hope for you. ;)

Our store is really small, so maybe that's why I can never find anything. Maybe I'll give it another try when DS is older. Right now, he's in 6-9 or 9-12 and I can't find a thing! Maybe that's a good thing. ;)

Yes, it probably is a good thing. A very good thing. ;)

Don't I know your pain.....

Anyone remember the brief period on time a few years ago when they went away from the Mix and Match and went to what I like to call Tart clothes? I walked in the store every week or so and told them to pass on feedback that the store had to go back as before. Yeah! They did go back!
I am going to cry when my kids outgrow Gymboree.

I remember that too!

I hate it when I go in with gymbucks that have to be spent and can't find anything!

I wasn't crazy about a lot of the stuff when I stopped in a few days ago - but I did like some of the splash line.

Scuttle, I give a big AMEN to that. I used to be such a Gymboree addict. It was fun b/c with four boys, it didn't matter what size they had on clearance, I would probably have a son that it would fit. HOWEVER....the Gymboree store in my mall has pretty much reduced the boys section to one corner.

It used to have boys on one side, girls on the other, but now the back left corner is all I get. Also, to me it seems there are fewer uniquely Gymboree type clothes for boys. Several lines have been plain sweats, and I can get plain gray sweatshirts/pants anywhere for less. (I will have to follow that by saying that of all the clothing I have ever purchased for my kids, and that is a lot, Gymboree is some of the best quality children's clothing available, IMO)

My oldest son has outgrown the XXL size and my youngest is out of the Infant line, which I usually really like, so it's really not a temptation for me anymore. Now, I have moved across the mall to GAP kids. Now, I can shop for all four in the same store, plus the boys have a whole wall to themselves!:p
