So for my sweet 16 I originally asked to go to Disney World but was told it was too much money when I priced it out I found it cheaper then what I was told I went and I told my parents and they said fine you can go and bring a friend but this was after I started planning a party and told basically everyone about it and now I have to pick between having a party in June or going to Disney World in 2012. I can't decide if I pick Disney I make people unhappy and do myself out of a party which I haven't had one in years and get called a lair by my friends. But if I pick the party I get done out of Disney World and won't get to go for a few more years. Please help me I don't know what to do and I need an answer tonight.

You shouldn't have told people about you having a party if you weren't 100% sure... Because of the situation you're in, go with having a party.

It'd be pretty mad if I was told my friend was having a party and then they canceled it so they could do something else.

That's just me, though.

If all you've done is said you're haivng a party just go for what you orginally wanted and go to Disney World!

If you say your plans changed, or your parents surprised you then your friends can't really get mad.

Besides it's your birthday, who cares what your friends reactions are!

thanks for the help this just really stinks cause I'm so attached to both things and I know I can't have both no matter what I do if any one else has any other opinions I'd really like to hear them thanks so much

Well personally, out of all my years I have gone to Disney for my birthday. And this year, I'm definitly having a party with my friends. I do enjoy having a vacation for my birthday, but I just think hanging with friends is a little more fun and I would remember it more. It's no fun eating birthday cake by yourself. Lol.
But obviously, you are different than me so I'm sure you will eventually come to a decision. (:
Just weigh the positive and negitives.

Whoaaa... it's YOUR party! They shouldn't get mad because you changed your mind. They should be glad you even considered inviting them in the first place... you didn't HAVE to, you chose to.

Personally, I'd choose Disney... but I do love the place a lot. I know if my friend was having a party and said her plans changed because she was going to Disney.. I wouldn't be mad at all. I'd understand completely. And if someone was to get mad.... it'd probably be because they wished they were in Disney, too! Haha.

I went to Disneyland Paris for my birthday and didn't regret it one bit. I doubt your friends would call you a liar for changing your mind; if they're your real friends then they will be happy that your parents are letting you go to Disney. Just do what makes you happy, it is your birthday after all.:)

Thanks I think I figured out a way to kinda do both
