Help, I can't decide: POFQ or CBR??

I love the idea of having the beaches at CBR, but I also love that POFQ is so small and has the ferry to DTD. Which is a better resort for ds7 & dd6? We are planning on going 9/24/11 - 9/30/11 with kids stay and play free. TIA for all your help and advice!

I can't compare the 2 resort because we've only stay at the Port Orleans both POFQ and POR and they are amazing--they are our favorite resort that we've stay in--we love them even more than AKL.

I loved the small size of POFQ--the pool is just so much fun for kids.
There is a hidden Hot tub that is not right next to the main pool.
Loved the boat ride to DTD. We had no problems with the busses.
POFQ is a romantic resort and the architecture is beautiful with the wrought iron and unique shaped roofs.

I've heard that there are new remodeled rooms in certain sections but have not stay there since they've be
redone.

Grounds are lush manicured gardens with quant seating areas or fountains.
There is a horse drawn Carrage ride around the whole resort, very nice.

You won't be disappoint to stay at either POFQ or POR both are very nice.

I've stayed at both more than once and much prefer POFQ. In fact, I go to WDW several times a year and have pretty much settled on the moderates as my resort of choice. I'd rank them:

#1. and #2. a tie between CSR and POFQ
#3. PORS
#4. CBR (and a distant 4th at that)

By the end of April POFQ will have refurbished rooms with queen size beds, plus it's a much smaller resort so no room is very far from the main building, they have a better food court, the boat to DTD, and better bus service

DH and I stayed at POFQ and loved it! Every building is within an easy walk to the food court. The boat ride to DTD was nice. It is a very pretty resort.

I'd go with POFQ. Your boys are old enough that it will be really easy for you to walk to POR and visit their food court and pool/poolslide if you want to. That gives you the option of using two pools since POFQ and POR share pool privileges. It's a great option, but you still have the compactness of POFQ with bus stop, food court, and pool all very close to any room. You will also love the convenience of hopping on the boat shuttle to DTD. I imagine your boys would be interested in Disney Quest, TRex, Rainforest Cafe and/or the Lego Store .
