I'm going December 13th-December 26th. I need fastpasses for 13 days, the 13th-25th. Right now i only have 10 days tickets. (Free Dining) I want to upgrade them to AP'S as we are moving to DVC after the free dining. As I understand it, I can only make 10 days worth of fastpass reservations as that matches my tickets at this time, correct? So do i have to make them the first 10 days, or any 10 days during the trip? Which days should i make them for? I'm thinking i should skip the first 3 days and make them for the busier time, closer to Christmas. Do I have this right, any suggestions?
THANKS! :)

You won't be able to make additional days until you upgrade. But you should be able to make them for any of your days (don't have to be the first 10).

Thanks! So I could make them for the first day of my stay and the last 9 days of my stay, then upgrade and make them for the other 3, right?
Also since i have a split stay, can i make all 10 at once when my first 90 days open or do i have to wait for some of the fastpasses?

You'll want to wait to make your AK FP+s until after your upgrade, regardless of which day that falls on. AK is the park where the headliners are easiest to get even just a day in advance.

Make your MK FP+ reservations early if you want to see Anna/Elsa or ride the Mine Train. Those two attractions book up really fast! Also, Toy Story Mania books up early.

I agree with PP, wait on your Animal Kingdom FP+ reservations.

It's 60 days out, not 90, isn't it?

Makes sense to prioritize reserving your FPs first at most popular parks (MK, then HS, Epcot, AK last) and most popular days (approaching Christmas). Like previous poster said, it's 60 days, not 90 days. I recall several previous discussions here about split stay confusion, I have not done a split stay with FP+, but supposedly at 60 days out you should be able to book FPs for any 10 days over the length of time you'll be at WDW.

I haven't done a split stay with FP+, but have seen several threads where the guests had to go with two different 60-day dates for the two different reservations. Even though it's one trip to you, lots of people encountered that Disney considered it two different stays with two different sets of dates. Sorry I don't have more detail. Perhaps do a search specifically for "split stay" or start a new thread with that title to get those specific DIS experts involved.

If I remember correctly, it might depend on a few factors: are the reservations consecutive (no days in between), are the park tickets part of a package, and is that package the first or second reservation?

Thanks for everyone's help! I know its 60 days not 90, I don't know why i typed that! :) We have 3 reservations, 2 days room only, then 5 days free dining package with the tickets, and then the DVC portion. Don't need Anna/Elsa, but want the mine train and Toy Story Mania.

That might change things. I am not an expert, but if your tickets are part of a package tied to your second reservation, I do not know if you can book your FPs 60 days from first reservation (room only) or 60 days from second reservation (free dining with tickets).
