Help!! I am fashionably challenged!

In two weeks we are off to Disney World for our planning trip and our engagement pictures. The panic is that I am fashionably challenged and I have nothing to wear.... Leif is going to wear this top and black pants.

I am going to wear a black linen skirt and black shoes that I got at Ann Taylor loft. The issue is that I don't have a top to wear. I am starting to stress out about this. I just can't find anything that looks "right" if that makes sense. I don't want to spend a bundle, and we are traveling like crazy until we leave. Any suggestions that you have would be great. I finally found out that I have collar bones and I would like to show them off.

I really need HELP!!

I believe I used this exact statement not two weeks ago. I was so excited I went out and bought boatneck, scoopneck and v-neck shirts as if I had nothing else in my closet. I really like the look of a scoopneck for more "formal" or "official" wear (as I like to call it). It would probably look better to co-ordinate - something with no patern in the same tone of his shirt. Maybe a soft green since that would look great with your hair color (thanks signature pic!) Or you could do a nice cami with a cardigan, since those seem to be all over the place this season and wouldn't have to cost a fortune. I'm sure you'll look great. Everyone will probably notice your smiles and not even pay attention to the clothes.

Good luck with the trip and the pics! It must be very exciting.

Hey-

I found this awesome, awesome top at the Gap Outlet in Orlando (not too far from property) last weekend. With your coloring, I think you'd look great in black, a dark green, plum, or burgundy (more on the plum side than the red side though). I am looking for a photo of the exact shirt I found- it's got a tie neck top.... which I don't know what I think about in photos. Some people can do it and others can't.

You can always choose something that cordinates with the same color of baby blue in Leif's shirt. Whether it be a cute silk tank (it's a little dressier) or something that just as a few accents of baby blue. You can always throw a blazer or jacket over a top and have it look great, too!

You can do a cardigan and cami as the above poster mentioned. Sometimes the camis and cardigans can show a lot you don't want them to in photos though (becuase they're so unstructured). If you're taking black and white photos, it won't matter. Stay away from reds, heavy make-up, much jewelry, and white in your photos if they are black and white!

There's so much out for the holidays right now that's dressy. I am sure you'll find something and be just gorgeous!

Ooo I like the shirt that Leif is going to wear. We had our Engagement Shoot taken in Disney around the Holiday time and therefore the decorations so I stayed away from red as I didn't want the pictures looking as if they were taken for our Xmas cards, you know? Instead of my usual pink I went for an informal sky blue 3/4 sleeve Tee and striped capris as I thought the color worked well with my hair and eyes. I let Paul wear whatever he wanted within reason

Jonette, I have to say that I love the color of the top you are wearing in your siggy, I think it really suits you, just wanted to add that in

I'm sooo frustrated! I cannot find a photo of the shirt I got anywhere! Argh!

It's a silk tank-top build with a zip up the left side. But, at the top, it's comes to a very high neck (almost a halter but it's rounded so it's not a V-neck), and the right "sleeve" is where the top actually ties shut. They had them in black and this great plum color.

I only wonder if the tie neck would look wierd in the pictures... like the clothing didn't fit right or was poorly made, etc. I was going to wear it the day before the wedding, but now am wondering about it... hmmm....

Again, I am sure you'll find something just right ! The above poster was right about staying away from Christmasy colors, too!

Since his shirt has blue in it, I would wear a blue shirt as well. Or something in the blue family, like violet or bluish green. Something like this square neck top from Lands End would be pretty, and would show off your collarbones:
