I don't know about the rest, but the weather right now in south Florida is lovely, low to mid 60's in the morning, up to around 85 in the afternoon. I personally am looking forward to it getting cooler, but right now it is very nice.

1. i will miss miley. - Who is Miley?
2. is it hot in october? - Like the previous poster said, it is warm but it is nothing like August!
3. what should i pack - shorts and t-shirts, maybe a pair or two of long pants/nicer outfits. Will you be having any nice dinners?
4. how are the crowds? - The crowds will probably be moderate to heavy. The Funai golf classic is this month, not sure when though, you still have MNSSHP at MK on select nights and the Food and Wine Fest at Epcot.

Have fun! Boy am I jealous of that husband of yours! A surprise trip?!? That is WAY romantic and awesome!!!!!!

1- miley is my 4 month old.
2- i am looking forward to colder weather too.
3- we are going to victoria and alberts chef table.
4- darn! oh well i will use touring plans .com's crowd calendar to choose stuff.
thank you both

Pack something nice for victoria and alberts. I think I read that it is the only restaurant that require men to wear a jacket.

Lucky Lady you are!

WOW... your husband did what???? In the midst of football season... In the playoff season of baseball...It wasn't until my kids were... wait, I've never had a vacation with my husband without the kids :)

You very,very lucky lady.

Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy!

Meg

I think you just relax and chill a little and be thankful that your husband wants to do this for you.

What Waffles said! I'm impressed! One of my fondest dreams that he'll surprise me with a trip!

Have fun!!!

it's not that i'm not excited i am extatic!!!! i finnaly figured it all out. both our parents want to watch miley so we set up a schedule.
1st day - 3 night miley is with my parents in richmond.
4th day my parents drive to nc to give miley to matt's parents.
4th- last day of week miley with matt's parents.
do you think this is realistic or should i make it even more fair and not even have parents watch her or just have my sister watch her?
p.s. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!
- tess.

Don't worry about Miley. Sounds like your little one will be spoiled! Just schedule her at the places where you feel the most comfortable.

And you lucky lady!!!! That too, is my dream. A surprise trip from my DH....how nice would that be....aaaaaahhhhhh...........wait.... I need to wake up now. Don't think that would happen at my house!!!! Hey, I can dream anyway, can't I?

You sound like you have a good catch in your husband! That's such a nice thing to do - you lucky thing! Hope you enjoy the trip!

Sorry, I would never have been able to leave my 4 month for a week. I certainly wouldn't be able to leave my baby at the drop of a hat. {{shrug}} To each their own, I guess. I hope you have fun.

FWIW, my DD's first trip to WDW was when she was 4 months old.

So this wasn't an anniversary etc.?? Just for the heck of it? Sounds like DH wants to pamper the new mom! Lucky lady! How exciting for you! I would miss my Nikolas terribly if I was in your shoes, but I would fall in love with my DH all over again!

Can someone slip a note to my husband so he can do the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are a lucky wife!!!!!!!!

What a great surprise, yes you'll miss your baby but she will be in good hands so go enjoy.

Sounds like he wants some alone time with you. Make it worth his while. KWIM?

Lucky you!

I just wanted to chime in that my husband whisked me away to the Caribbean at Peter Island Resort for a week when my youngest DD was 5 months and oldest DD was 3 and it was fabulous! The kids loved spending time with both grandparents (just like you're thinking of doing) ; albeit they were spoiled rotten and so they should have been.

And we loved spending time alone sans children; so romantic and you tend to forget about romance once those new little "loves of your lives" start joining your family.

It's a special trip; not like you leave Miley every month for a week. I just didn't want you to feel guilty. Enjoy!! You and your hubby deserve it and so does Miley:)

you were all helpful. we are going because since i had miley i had not been anywhere for 4 months. i am excited and am not worried anymore. thanks all.
-tessa (new mom, lucky wife with a man she met in disney, and fellow "dis''er who needs counseling with her love of disney)
