Help! How Will Monorail Closure affect a 5pm Wedding.

My sister is getting married at the WP on the 13th, and I'm wondering how the monorail disruptions may affect us.

According to posts, the monorail will be disrupted from 11:30 - 6pm. The wedding is at 5pm.

Everyone will need to take a bus or boat... however neither buses or boats go directly to the WP, you'd need to go to the GF or Poly first and then walk over if she's not providing transportation directly to the WP.

Since we don't know how the guests will be arriving, it's hard to say how it'll affect you. If they are all arriving by car or limo, it won't affect you at all. Otherwise, yes, you'll have to take buses or boats to either GF or Poly and walk over. Since the monorail doesn't stop at the WP anyway, it should be pretty much business as usual once you get to a nearby resort

About 90 are attending, and with the exception of the wedding party who is getting a limo (and my sis who's getting the glass carriage from the GF - so jealous - I've got to get a ride in that!! ), most of the guests are staying onsite, at many different resorts, will not have cars, and will be taking Disney transportation.

I know the WP is between the Poly and GF, but wasn't sure which is closer, and how we should inform the guests. Realizing resort to resort travel can be difficult, maybe a taxi is best at this point. I know we're going to need them after.

GF is closer i'd say but with the construction going on the Poly walk might be nicer.

as others have said, i would recommend a cab to WP and either arange for a cab from there or walk to poly and get a cab. disney transportation busses of course is available, but i wouldn’t be planning on using that personally for something i needed to dress up for and be on time for!

I guess the only way i would think the monorail would affect things is to be aware other disney transportations especially around MK, will be more congested. but of course noone would be taking the monorail to the WP!
