Good morning!

We leave tomorrow for our cruise. We are traveling with a diabetic and we were placed in the 2nd seating. Can I get this changed to the first and how?

Thanks for the advice ahead of time. :earboy2:

When you board go to guest services and request a dinner change. I have heard some people who have had luck with this. If you explain your situation, I am sure they will do their best to accomodate you.

Happy Sailing!!

They keep a wait list of people requesting to move, but it is not necessarily in priority of first come, first served. People with special needs will get special accomodations. I bet they can accomodate you.

If at all possible, get the medical form filled out by your doctor before you travel. I realize that since it is Saturday and you are leaving tomorrow, it may not be possible. The medical form is the official way to notify DCL of a medical need, which they then meet as a policy.

When you check in at the terminal, you will be given an information sheet. One of the items listed will be "dining changes." Go there as soon as you board and explain the situation--there is an excellent chance that you will be moved immediately. Otherwise, you will be placed on a "waiting list" and moved asap.

If all else fails and a move is not possible, the diabetic member of you party can always get food on deck 9--either at the "fast food" outlets or the buffet. Check with his/her doc, but perhaps a small snack could allow for a later dinner.
