If you are booking packages then the deposit will be 200 dollars for each room. If you are booking just the rooms, then you will have to pay for the first night for each room.

oh ok so its 200 per room for packages? i was hoping I could get the 2 rooms for the 200 deposit! ohwell! thank you!!

If you are booking 2 rooms under one reservation then you will only pay one deposit $200. I have 2 rooms at pop for 8 under one ressie, we are a party with only 2 adults, the rest are minors.

hhhhmmmm I wonder if the adults changes it! i have 4 adults 2 minors going in 2 rooms but under the same reservations. I want to just book it for now just to get that out of the way w/o spending too much money ! I really hope its 200 deposit for one ressie with 2 rooms! :goodvibes

Actually, I did 2 rooms at AKL a couple of years ago, one for us and added my parents and I only did one ressie because I was paying for everything. I put the $200 on my Disney Visa. I think you can do it, everything will have to go through you. Call and book saying your party size, you want 2 rooms and you will have to insist on one ressie. When I booked for this year I kept having to tell her I wanted one ressie.

We've had some CM's tell us it's 400.00 and others that tell us 200.00 but I've always just done 200.00. I think one of the times we got a CM that said 400.00 I asked them to check on it and they came back and said it was just 200.00? We book two rooms because we have 5 children....so not sure about the whole adult to child ratio thing but I think it's only 200.00 per reservation and you can find a CM that agrees LOL

If I were you, I would check on this. I had booked two rooms, and had to pay one night deposit on each room. Then I later called to add one adult to one room. When I went to look at my reservations online, one was missing! I called, and they said they canceled my reservation because I did not pay the extra deposit when I added to one adult (15 dollars). The CM I talked to did not ask for the extra money, and I did not get a mailing asking for it. luckily, I was able to restore the reservation. But, if you only paid one room deposit for 2 rooms, I would be calling to make sure your room has not been canceled. They do not notify you when they cancel.

No, had my ressie since last Sept. and everyone is there on the email. Have updated and changed ressie since then. Just added a celebration the other day and the CM read off all 8. Actually, I changed the spelling of one of the people and now 9 is listed on my stuff but Disney only has 8 on their stuff. Everytime I called for dining ressies the beginning of this month the CM read off everone in the party.

Last year I booked 2 rooms for 4 adults and 2 kids under 1 reservation. I had to pay the $200 deposit on each room so a total of $400.

The way I looked at it was that it didn't matter which I had to pay so I never questioned it. In the end, I'd have to pay the same total amount of money anyway and if I can't afford the second deposit right now then chances are I can't afford to pay for the whole vacation at the 45 day mark.

Not very nice, why be that way :confused3 I can think of lots of ways people will have the cash to pay for their trip at the 45 day mark yet right now this is just not in their budget.

I wasn't trying to be mean. This is exactly what I say to myself. I know that if I can't afford the extra $200 now then chances are there's no way I'll be able to afford the balance at the 45 day mark. If a person is THAT tight on money then a vacation probably shouldn't be at the top of the priority list. At least that's how I manage my house.

I have the money to pay the ressies 200 or 400. Like I said I am being cheap right now! (actually its my brother who is being cheap at the moment) Plus i am booking for dec 2010 so i think I have plenty of time to pay off the trip!

If you are booking for dec 2010 then you will need a deposit of 1 night's stay because the package rates for 2010 are not out yet... the question is will it need to be for 1 or 2 rooms. I think it is supposed to be for 2 rooms. Plus, you need to know that they will charge the most expensive 2009 rack room rate for that 1 night since they do not have the rates for 2010 yet.

If you aren't worried about loosing a particular room during a busy time of year (like Christmas week, MK view in the contemporary) then I would just wait until the package rates for 2010 come out in Sept & book it then... you will still be 1 yr out on your ressie.

yea I am going to wait for the packages to come out. spoke to disney cm yesterday and they said they will be released within a week or so. So I was trying to get the money from the other 2 adults going with us. my brother is being cheap so he wanted a heads up on when exactly he needs the deposit. Im prepaired to pay the $200 for my room but i am not prepaired to pay for someone elses portion. but we want to book it all together because it is for my mothers 50th bday celebration. so I just wanted to see what other people are paying so i could get the money from my brother! ;)

When we made a ressie for 2 rooms, my eldest daughter did it and we only needed a $200 deposit. The whole thing was under her name but I was listed as one of the party. We did request connecting rooms so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.

Thank you so much! Also enjoy your trip! Im very jealous! Would love to be going back in a few weeks! Have fun!

This past June we were at Disney World. Even though we paid for the two rooms, because there were adults staying in the second room we had to book the rooms under seperate names and it cost $200. each room.

it seems like it depends on the CM that you try to reserve with I guess?
