HELP!!!!! How do I turn off email notification?

Please help me! I've tried several times to turn off my email notification (I get email each time something is posted in a thread I post it). This morning I had 22 email notifications. How do I turn it off? I truly thought I had turned it off, but apparently not. Thanks so much!!!

It's in User CP then click Edit Options, and under the Thread Subscription there's a dropdown list as to how you want to recieve emails, if at all. Sounds like you've found that, though.

My guess (and it's a total guess) is that you were set for notification in certain threads prior to changing your options, so you'll continue to receive notifications from those until they stop being active. Again, just a shot in the dark, but it's a possibility.

default thread subscriptions

pick - do not subscribe


this will only stop new threads that you post too.

to stop the others go to the posts and edit your post - at the bottom
is a thread subscription - notation type : do not subscribe

now there might be a way to stop them in the default thread subscriptions - but since I don't subscribe to any I can't help you.

Thanks! I got rid of them but now my smileys are gone! This is a "duh" day for me!

show signatures
show avators
show images

if that doesn't work come back and we can try something else
