HELP!! How do I get the scratch out of my bumper?

Not even a month ago I bought a brand new 2004 Nissan Pathfinder. Well I went camping with my parents and left my new car at their house and came home to a huge deep scratch in the front bumper. I am not even sure if I can call it a scratch because it is a plastic bumper but it is down to the black (It was "polished pewter"). What can I do to cover it up? Any suggestion on what I should do? I know it can't be buffed out because it is plastic, but I would like it to be fixed because it is a brand new car. Help Please!!

Go to the dealer and get a little bottle of touch up paint. Mine looks almost like a fingernail polish bottle and came with a little brush.

Is there anyway to fix up the rough surface that it left, like sanding it? I know I am going a little overboard about it but it is brand new and I just want it to be perfect.

Thanks for the paint idea, I will have to go look for it. Even with the touch-up paint is it still noticeable?

Check a local auto parts store, they will have a cosmetic kit for minor bumper repairs.

Anyone else have any ideas? I know that my friend who works for Ford said to bring it into an autobody shop and they could do something. Has anyone done that? Was it expensive, but worth it?

Touch up paint and a thin brush to only cover the scratch. Use Blue Painters tape to make sure only the scratch is painted. Another way would be to put a claim against your parent's homeowners and have the whole bumper replaced.

Thanks Dan, I didn't even think about searching on the internet. Sounds like they have a kit that I could do it myself. I actually have hope that it can be fixed and not noticeable!!!
