Which would you pick. Hilton at Bonnet Creek in June for $134 a night or the Contemporary in August for $249 a night?

If the price difference doesn't affect your length of stay or ability to afford your vacation, I would pick the Contemporary simply due to the monorail. That just makes everything so convenient. You'd have access to a character meal right at your hotel, nice pool and marina area (definitely do the Pirate and Pals cruise if that's your kind of thing). But seriously, getting on the monorail at midnight and being whisked right back to your hotel is awesome. If you have small kids, its a no-brainer. So much easier to take them back for naps and an afternoon swim when its scorching or escape the afternoon downpour that happens in Florida.

Both months are generally hot and crowded, except I suppose the end of August is better as people return to school. I'm an "on-property" girl though. Its Disney, so either way, it will be great.

I would go with the Contemporary because of their overall location to the Magic Kingdom, a lot of transportation options, their guest rooms are some of the biggest among the Deluxe Resorts and you get all the perks of staying at a WDW owned resort.

Definitely the Contemporary Resort for the location and transportation. The difference in price is substantial but should be well worth it. :cool1::banana:

Thanks you are all so right. Another factor is although I don't have little ones I have teens. My son is always venturing around by himself and I'd feel safer for him to come to the Contemporary alone at night then the Hilton.

As long as the cost is within your means, the location of the Contemporary is so much better than the hilton, that I would certainly choose that. The first time we allowed our children( 11 and 13 year olds ) to roam on their own, we stayed at the Contemporary and it was so nice to let them take the bus or monorail to get anywhere that they wanted to go.

I was just on the Hilton's website the other day reading about that Hilton Bonnett Creek. They charge for parking & a fee for the Disney busses. Plus it's alot further away. I would deffinately stay at the Contemporary. Your right there at the Magic Kingdom & have the monorail. Staying at Disney is alot more safer too. If I were you I would book a tower room 10th floor gift shop side(not on Chef Mickey's side). That location is quiet.
