HELP HELP HELP ADR Emergency

We have had long standing reservations for next week for Liberty Tree and Hollywood and Vine Play and Dine (both buffets) and just today our friend's 17 year old daughter decided to come with us- after having sort of a rough summer. Disney dining CANNOT add her on to the ressies for these buffets. Does anyone know what is going to happen if we just show up with her and say that we are now 7 instead of 6 and that we will just squish? After all, three of the seven are little kids under the age of 6. I am sure space will not be an issue. Anyone ever dealt with this? Any advice? Please help.

OK... I hear you. You tried to add the one person, Disney dining said no go, right?? I would keep calling and checking availability for the number that you are currently at, I would not cancel the existing reservation. If it becomes available, I would then grab it and cancel the other reservation. In the meantime, I would take my chances if nothing opens up and show up with an extra person... all they can is no. The thing is you have an ADR which is better than no ADR....and hopefully they will allow the extra person at the table...

I would keep trying to get the ADR for the right number of people though even while I was there, I would try again, but if not, I would take my chances.

Space will be an issue, as they count chairs. And they will not set a chair in an aisle since it can be a safety hazard.

I will more than likely be at MGM on Saturday. If you would to PM me your name and time of reservation, I can check with the restaurant directly to see if they would be okay with it. I can tell you that when this happened to us before, the restaurants we went to allowed the extra person.

I would say keep calling for availability and if you get nothing just show up they will not turn you away. We had to do it at Chef Mickey's in may and we just had to wait 10 minutes.

Keep calling. I have an ADR for 46 people right now. I keep adding to it. When they say they don't have room I call back and something opens up.

They love me, they mean it. Liberty Tree and I have become very close.

jjk1007- Thanks- I do not know how to PM- but the reservation is for 6 of us at Hollywood and Vine Play and Dine at 11:25- we need it to be for 7 of us. Do you think that if you ask, they will mark me down in the book as "this annoying lady already tried to do this and we told her NO!"?

Are you staying on property ? If so, the concierge at your resort may be able to help you.

In the meantime, keep trying. I don't know about H&V but I've been to LTT twice and they don't have many tables for 8. That restaurant is usually packed and I don't think they have enough space to "squeeze" a 7th chair at a table for 6.

(also, LTT is not a buffet, it's a family style meal brought to your table. just thought I'd let you know if you expected a buffet)

Ok, that just cracked me up! I've had to make reservations for a group that large before too...the mgr. at WCC and I got to be pretty close as well!

Will you be online Saturday night to be able to see the update? I will ask them on Saturday but not sure when you are leaving to go to Disney if the ressie if for Sunday.
