HELP! Have ADR for Yachtsman, thinking of changing??

Hello DISers! I have searched the sites & books, read reviews and I still can't decide if I should keep my ADR for Yachtsman or not. Any help would be appreciated.

DH is a standard meat & potatoes (no sour cream, please) type of guy. I can appreciate a non-standard meat & potatoes meal! You know, I eat & enjoy (GASP) veggies. Looking at the menu it seems to be "creative"?? Or are there options there that DH could substitute for (I'm thinking sides, no sauces on steaks, etc)? I originally chose Yachtsman because we'd never been there before & it was a steakhouse. Now I'm having second thoughts.

We are on the DDP, so if I change the Yachtsman ADR, I could get an additional TS for our trip. Here's what I'm thinking....cancel Yachtsman, try Concourse (again steak) & possibly 50's Prime Cafe (sounds fun). We've never been to either.

If your DH is a meat and potato man he will love yachtsman! They have a 22 ounce porterhouse that is out of this world! I am the steak eater and my DH is the veggie and fish eater. We both loved it. We will eat there in 2007 again! We do the DDP also and that is the only reason we chose Yachtsman. Our bill came to almost $160 and it was worth it. Try it you will love it! Sometimes you can see the Yachtsman on the Food Channel or the Travel Channel.

Yachtsman is very good, your DH is like mine and he loved it. But we also enjoyed the Consourse and his other favorite is 50's Primetime. He loves the Salmon there. So if you need 2 meals go with your second choice.

Your DH will be fine at YSH. They can hold any sauce or dressing and load him up on as much beef as he can handle.

We had the best meal, (by far) at Yachtman's Steakhouse a couple of years ago. Even better than the meal at Victoria and Alberts the night before. I have yet to find a Filet that begins to compare to what I had there. They have pretty fantastic desserts as well. I think you DH will really enjoy whatever he orders there.

YSH is one of my favorites. We just ate there again on July 14th. There were 8 of us with 3 adults, 4 teenagers and a 5 year old. Everyone was happy with the choices they made. The service was wonderful. We had a very good waiter named Zach and of course it didn't hurt that he was young, good looking and a hit with the teenage girls!! Seriously though the food is great there. The filet is one of the best I've had.

Sadly, I am a thumbs down. Went for DH's birthday my meat lover and it was so fatty it wasn't funny he was very unhappy and mine was not that much better. Service was great but the entree was very disappointing. Narcoossee's worked well for us and DH loved Le Cellier as well!

Stay with Yachtsman Steakhouse! We have been there almost every trip since they opened. The food is wonderful as is the service.

As far as a creative menu, I think it is less so than many places at WDW. We started going there when we didn't like creative and have taken friends who like their food rather plain. Everyone was always happy.

Funny Zack was mentioned above! He is a wonderful server... very friendly without hovering and yes, young and good looking! We always ask for him. If his section is full, he always come by for a quick chat.

Any of the servers will be happy to discuss sauces and be happy to hold them or whatever makes your DH smile!
