Hi evryone,

Whenwe went to WDW in 2005 we took the small disney children suitcase as hanfluggage, and we saw alot of other people doing this also.

With the new restrictions can people still do this or are they now too big???

Here are the current restrictions for hand luggage.

When we went in Dec my small handbag was classed as my hand luggage. Coming home was completely the opposite.

Went in December & mt DD took her small suitcase with her on Virgin flight. I had only a handbag as carry on.

We took a cabin sized wheelie suitcase and it was fine, if you also take a handbag you must be able to put it inside or it will also count as hand luggage. The main thing is dont take any drinks or liquids, just buy them after passport control.

This is not what you are allowed to take onboard. This is the Dept of Transport maximum they allow through airport security, 56cm x 45cm x 25cm

Each airline has their own restictions. Virgin 56cm x 36cm x 23 max 6Kg (8kgUC) http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/passengerinformation/baggage/handbaggageuk.jsp

Just been to Amsterdam with BMIbaby theirs is 55cm x 40cm x 20cm Max 10kg

Hmm interesting point. At least if it is over DfT you know it is not allowed! But as you say best to check with the airline you are travelling with.

Virgin were asking to see receipts but it didnt matter if the drink was open. :goodvibes
