I think I am making this more complicated than it needs to be...but I would love some help. We have never done MNSSHP. Didn't even see the regular fireworks last trip...so I am lost. We are going to the first MNSSHP in Sept. We are planning on viewing the fireworks and then the second parade so we can do characters before. I do have two young kids...4 and 6...but those stinkers are pretty good at late nights so I think they will be fine!
My question is this... Do I need to get two different spots...one for fireworks then one for parade? I know everyone says the second parade is less crowded...but I guess i feel like it will still be hard to get seats if I am fighting to get firework seats with people who have already seen the first parade and are hanging around waiting for fireworks... am I thinking of this the wrong way? Am I totally confusing myself here? Where do I get a good seat where I dont have to wait 2 hours?! HELP!

If I want to have a spot near the castle lets say...is that impossible since so many people will be staying from the first parade to see the fireworks? I want to have a good spot to see the castle show....

1. No. You don't need two spots.

(As an unrelated matter, just for clarity, I would not use the word "seats" for this.
There are no "seats.")

2. What you want to do will be difficult if you want to see the fireworks from a spot
from in front of the castle.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents, or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears.
(HOWEVER, from those locations you won't be able to see the spectacular, not-to-be-missed show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.)

I am aware there are no actual seats...but I figure if we are saving spots for something an hour in advance...we would be sitting down at some point somewhere. So how do people view the fireworks and then the parade? Do i jump around? I am unsure when and where to get spots....
