My Family is going to DL for the first time in February. We will be there 2/18-2/21, I know these dates are very busy. This is noting like going to WDW and I have no clue where to start. Please help.

We went the last week of February 2013. The weather was perfect! It was chilly in the mornings and evenings, but middle of the day was a perfect 70-75 and sunny.

I can't wait to go back! It really is an entirely different world if you are used to travelling to WDW. There is no real advantage to staying on site, (you can get a beautiful room across the street for $150 per night or less), you don't really need to book ADR's, (and the places that do need them can be booked 24 hours in advance rather than 6 months), and regular old' paper fastpasses are the rule. It is so relaxed and leisurely that a lot of WDW vets go crazy because they don't need to plan anything.

We will be there for a quick pre-cruise trip the exact same dates. I know with presidents day it will make it a little busier, but I don't think it will be too bad. The following week is Dapper Days, so I'm hoping that will help ease the crowds when we are there.

I personally love staying onsite if it's within the budget. You get in an extra hour early with lower crowds and that helps to get a lot of things done before it gets busy. If it's not in the budget, there are motels all around the park that are an easy walk.

Be prepared for some rides to be down. Jan/Feb are big refurb times, and with the 60th anniversary in the summer they will be sure to be getting many rides ready for that.

Hi there, I just started a Feb 2015 thread yesterday! There are a couple of us who have started posting and I think some of us on the thread have been to DL before. So, come join us and please ask question...we might be able to help answer some of them!
