Help Getting Rust Stains Out

Help!

I took my spring wardrobe out of storage and found some small, but noticable, rust stains on my favorite capris. They are 100% cotton and a light stone color. I've tried treating them by soaking and rewashing them with several stain gels, including ones with 'oxy" clean. No luck.

Is there any hope for these capris, or is it time to buy new ones?

Iron Out. At any store. It's a powder and you can make a paste and apply it to a little area.

Cover it with Cream of Tartar (spice aisle) and then squeeze on lemon juice and let it sit in the sun for a couple of hours and you should be all good.
