Help getting low rates

I just booked Free Dining for Sept, and now I am trying to get the best deal on airfare. Rates are so high right now. I would love any suggestions.

Also, Southwest has not released their Sept fares yet. Do they usually start very low on release day?

I would use a search engine such as www.kayak.com or www.orbitz.com. There are many others also.

Don't count on Southwest's rates to be low on release day, unless they announce a sale soon before or the day of release. They usually have sales within the next couple or few weeks after, and DING! fares probably won't go that far in the calendar. That being said, I always pay attention when they extend their schedule, just in case. Good luck.

I'm in the same boat....plane as you. Never done this so I don't know what I'm going.
