Help! Genie+ says can’t make another selection for 3+ hours

Here at DHS now. Made our first selection by 7:05 this morning and my app says I’m eligible to make another at 10:35. Why?!?! And how do I fix this? Currently in hour long line for Rise which is why I’m asking here and not at guest services.

Cool down period is 2 hours from park opening, not from when you made your first line reservation.

Ok thanks and I’m guessing then it doesn’t count early entry? Clearly I didn’t research enough as I missed this!

Depends on when your first selection is. HS opens officially at 8:30. Rule is two hours after park opening to get your second, unless you’ve tapped out of your first one, so that gives you 10:30 for next selection unless you use your first selection prior to then.

Correct. It's 2 hours from official opening, not early entry.

What Are the Rules?

• Make sure you have valid admission and a theme park reservation to the same park on the same day.
• Disney Genie+ service Lightning Lane selections can only be made one at a time. You must redeem an existing Disney Genie+ service Lightning Lane selection or wait 2 hours—whichever comes first—before making another Lightning Lane entrance selection through Disney Genie+ service. Please note: the 2-hour wait to make another selection begins when the park opens, even if you made your first booking at 7:00 AM.
• All attractions and experiences are subject to availability.
• Guests may be able to purchase Disney Genie+ service on the day of their park visit and make their first Disney Genie+ selection for Lightning Lane entry starting at 7:00 AM.
