When we were in Disney I saw a dessert party going on and I decided to have one so I have a couple of questions.

How much is it per person and are you aloud to wear your dress? Did you have people wear what they wore to the wedding or is this more casual?

Our wedding is at noon and the reception from 1 to 5 dessert party would be at 9.

So let me know what you all did. Thank you!!

Well, I'm sorry I can't help you with this one as I havn't even had my wedding yet, but you can wear your dress in the park if you use disney transportation I believe. Other then that, I don't know much about them either.

the dessert party costs depend on the food you are having, you can range from small desserts to posh ones, and they can even do full meals if you want.
from photos i have seen, people tend to wear what they wore to the wedding
if you want to wear your dress, i believe you have to pay for disney transportation to take you through the back entrance!

We just had our dessert party in Italy Isola. Our reception was at 3:30 and our guest boarded the busses at about 8:30 to head over to Epcot in the back enterance. You can wear your dress as long as you have a disney escort with you. The price can vary, we had a variety of several different types of desserts, more than what I expected for 100 people and the cost was about $6000. It was one of the highlights of the day, everyone is still talking about it.

I finished planning my dessert reception. The menus range in price from $19.50 on up. You can get pretty elaborate if you want adding bananas foster, etc. We are doing the basic menu. I have the menus if anyone wants me to email them. My coordinator told us as long as we have our group meet at the International Gateway we don't have to pay to have Disney transportation then we are escorted into the park. We will have enough people staying at the Epcot resorts, so we won't have to worry about that added expense.

Thank you for all the info girls... I don't know if I should have my guests wear more casual clothes because our reception will end at 6 and then the dessert party would be at 9.
