in SSR.

I was not too sure where to post this but as SSR is mainly a DVC resort, I thought this was perhaps the most appropriate place. Mods, please move if this is not in the right place.

Our GS and his parents are staying in SSR in October. GS will be 7. I am trying to put together a scavenger/treasure hunt around the resort as GS loves this sort of thing. Also, it would be something which is a bit different to the usual things.

The only trouble is that I do not know the resort too well and am looking for questions. I have been on to a couple of websites and looked up FAQs, and photos and there is not a lot that comes to mind. I have a few - like "What is the most expensive entree on the dinner menu at the Turf Club", and "Where would you hire a bike from", and "what is in the centre of the circular seat in the registration area".

I am looking for questions like "what is the colour of ......." and "how many .......". Actually, any questions at all would be good.

Please can anyone help? :worship:

Is there no-one who can help? :confused3

When it is finished, I am going to make it available for any interested DISers to print for their own use.

I think you have a very nice idea, but I don't know enough about the resort to help. I don't know the answers to these questions:

How many bus stops?

How deep is the High Rock Spring pool?

How many pools are at the resort?

What year was it opened as SSR?(pretty sure it was 2004)

What is the significance of a peppermint pig?

From the few stays that I've had there, I noticed that there has always been a CM around the check in area who is very happy to trade pins.

Good luck to you...have a great vacation.

Thanks Bobbi and Dory. I think I will now have enough questions. I just need to put them into some sort of sensible order and "decorate" it. We are visiting in October so there's plenty of time. It gives me a project during the long winter months, now that Christmas card making is well and truly over for a few months.

By the way, what IS the significance of a peppermint pig?

Thanks Bobbi, I understand now. I rather like peppermint so I will have to look for one.
