help from a magical seamstress, PLEASE????

OK---the only thing my daughter asked Santa for was a hamster "pillow pet". They don't exist!!!!! Has anyone ever seen anything similar, or could anyone make one (or know someone who could?) I've tried to sell her on other animals, and I'm sure she'll settle if she has to, but she is certain that Santa can have his elves make one for her. I want to keep the magic for as long as I can, so I thought instead of leaving it up to the elves, I would see what the pixies could think of. This hamster, (preferably orange and white) would have her believing for years to come! Please let me know if anyone has any thoughts. Thank You Thank You!

Can you sew at all? Perhaps sew the general outline of a hamsters body, stuff it, and then make the face with fabric markers?

Unfortunately, I've never sewn anything in my life. They don't look like they would be super hard to make, but I couldn't find the working end of a needle.
