Hey ladies I have a few questions for ya'll! I am in the middle of deciding if I am going to host a Disney wedding for me and df family or if I am just going to have a huge wedding at home. I have a few concerns about both place and I just wanted ya'lls opinion on disney. I have read quite a bit of complaints about feeling rushed and not special. Please let me know the pros and cons of having a disney wedding. Was it the fairy tale you have always imagined or was it a let down? :confused3 It will really make my decision alot easier to know what yall think because I dont want to waste my parents money!

We had an intimate FTW almot 3 years ago and it was my dream come true! I had a fabulous event planner - I did not have to worry about ANYTHING! I never felt hurried...exactly the opposite. It was a very special day and if I had to do it all over again, I would not change a thing...well...maybe my dress... :)

My DH and I had an intimate wedding July 05 and honestly it was a dream come true. There were some bumps in the road but those were mainly with my emotions and stress as my Grandfather passed away 9 days before the wedding and had been sick for a month before and I did not know if any of my family would be able to make it.

There are a couple of items I would change such as the reception dinner, and hiring a videographer but looking back my guests were all happy and I was married to the man I love and I would not trade that for the world. I did not at any time feel rushed, nor did I feel that my wedding was a cookie cutter type wedding. The Disney wedding worked for me and in a few years we will do a Disney vow Renewal where I'll change the things I wish I had done differently and I'll see how that works. :)

It is really a decision that only you and your DF can make. For us it was perfect because DH does not like being in front of crowds so the intimate ceremony was just right. The location was romantic, and the planning as an intimate was worry free.

Our 2003 DLR wedding was great however we had a few bumps in the road that could have been better. Overall the wedding and our experience with FTW was wonderful and I'd definately do it again. We did spend about the same/less than if we had had it at home in Northern Ca. We also spent it with the people who mattered the most rather than with the obligatory guests in tow.

Looking back we should have switched sales managers as we were slightly dissatisfied with the person whom we got. BTW, he has since left FTW. But we didn't know that we could ask to be switched. If we had done so we might have had the wedding that we envisioned rather than the one that we received. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't take our wedding back as it was a wonderful experience that fit our personalities the best.

A wedding at Disney is what you make of it. Any wedding can be tailored to fit your personalities that will make it unique from others.

We had our intimate vow renewal at the WP on 5/1/06. It was truly a magical and wonderful experience and everything that I had hoped for. My only issue was that my planner was not able to be at the WP on the day of our wedding (which I knew ahead of time) and the planner that was there had no "history" with me so I kept feeling like she was annoyed with me for asking so many questions. Also, she was rushing us at the end of our "reception", but in fairness to her, we were trying to draw it out as long as possible!!!

My experience was well worth the money!!! (As long as DH doesn't truly know how much $$$ was involved!!!!! LOL)

First ... i want to say that I love the "Ya'll"-- you must be from around my neck of the woods!!;)

I couldnt have imagined getting married anywhere else. Everything turned out perfect. If you are even imagining it in your head... you seriously couldnt in your wildest dreams understand what it is like actually having it there. Good Luck- and happy wedding planning.

Our intimate wedding was perfect, we really enjoyed the intimacy of just having 11 guests. Everything went smoothly except the limo driver who left before taking the guests back to their resorts. Luckily we had a few cars to take the guests back and the limo driver never got his tip.

We never felt rushed, actually I tried to go slow and take in everything.

Maybe I was to long ago to count... Jan 26, 2002. but there are not enough words to tell you how glad we are that we were married in Disney. We had a small custom wedding, 45 people I think... We were never rushed. In fact I was made to feel incredibly special! I specifically remember our coordinator making sure that we sat down to eat at the reception, when we were around talking to our guests, our coordinator was Lisa New, she is not there anymore :( but she was wonderful. It was a wonderful experience, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Jennifer
