Help for little brother!

Hi Everyone - I am hoping some of you will be able to help me out with this. My younger brother (he turns 18 today) will be traveling to WDW in early Aug with a friend (who is a girl - but not a girlfriend). They will be staying for 2 nights and need some help with doing this as inexpensively as possible. We haven't stayed off site in a while and they would need either 2 rooms or a suite - can anyone give me some ideas on where would be a good place and other tips for them to do this as cheaply as possible? Thanks!

If your main criteria is cheap, the Disney area has plenty of options. There are no-frills motels like Motel 6, Super 8, Knights Inn, etc. One that I've stayed at a couple of times is the EconoLodge Maingate Hawaiian on 192. Off season we've paid $23/nite there.

As for suites, the Days Suites Maingate East Old Town is a tremendous value. We had a 1-bedroom suite there in November for $39.95. The Days Inn next door to that also has inexpensive rooms.

why do they need a suite? I went to WDW with a boy friend (not boyfriend) when I was 18. We stayed in the same hotel room but we had 2 double beds. As long as there is bathroom with a door I don't think they really need separate hotel rooms.

I will have them check into that - I think you have to be 18 to check into a hotel but I'll have them check just to make sure.

I suggested that as well but he thinks that they (and their parents ) will be more comfortable if they either have the suite or 2 rooms as they haven't ever went overnight anywhere together before.

They are going to be there 08-07 - 08-09 so just 2 nights and they will be driving so they'll have a car. But hopefully will be able to stay near Downtown Disney and not be really far from everything.

They would need to get a two bedroom suite if they were to share a room which can get a bit expensive. The cheapest option is two separte standard hotel rooms.

Do you have the entertainment book. It's $10 if not and they have Downtown Disney hotels for 50% off. Plus there are really great deals on dinning in the area..so they don't have to pay alot to eat.

Just an idea or something to look into!

How about the $20.03 special at the Marriot Courtyard. You have to call the hotel direct to get that price.

They should just get a single room with 2 beds. Are the parents really that naive to think that a suite or separate rooms will alter their children's behavior?
