Welcome to the Boards Verity - I can't think of a better place to spend a honeymoon and 2 of our very own DISers have recently just spent theirs over there and so I'm sure UKAngel will be here to tell you more to help you :)

 Hi Verity :) Welcome to the DIS!

Lots of things spring to mind! You could book a specialty Cruise - in fact you'll see the thread which advises you what it is and how to book the IllumiNations Cruise on this page. There are other Cruises available too.

There's the fabulous Cirque Du Soleil show - La Nouba. They have their own theatre at Downtown Disney's West Side.

Disney restaurants with that little extra something : California Grill which is on the 15th floor of the Contemporary Resort - very good food with fantastic views, you can time it right so that you see the Magic Kingdom fireworks during your meal! Then there's Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge, Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom castle for dinner, Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the gourmet restaurant Victoria & Alberts at the Grand Floridian - jacket required! . to name a few!

Pleasure Island has several clubs where you can dance and a couple which are lots of fun - the Comedy Warehouse and in particular, the Adventurers Club. At PI they celebrate New Year every night at midnight too!!!

Have you thought of going to Discovery Cove where you have the Dolphin encounter? It is a little expensive but it does feel like an exclusive club since they only allow a certain number of visitors per day. You do also get 7 days unlimited admission to Sea World as well.

well now........having just returned from our honeymoon, here are a few of the lovely special things we did............

Ate at california Grill on the 15th floor of The Contemporary..ask for a window table and mention its your honeymoon ;) (from here you can see Mk fireworks and EPCOT ones too if you're lucky!)

Hired a canopy boat and 'sailed' round the bay and seven seas lagoon....

Booked an Illuminations Cruise to watch EPCOT fireworks from the lake...pure magic:).....

Danced at Pleasure Island......

We DIDNT wear minnie ears...but we did buy bride and groom pins to wear...a bit more discreet!:) you can also 'build your own pin', choosing your own background and characters...so ours has '2003' and a minnie and mickey bride/groom set :):)

You could also take a carriage ride round fort wilderness in the evening...very romantic.....

.....loads of others....I'll be back with more :):)

Any help, just shout!!:):)

Thanks for all your tips, they are great! I can't wait to get the minnie ears, I love things like that! Are they easy to find? The pins sound great, my other half is addicted to collecting them, so he'll love it! The california grill sounds great, Do we need to book from the UK? I'd love to do a cruise, but have heard they are impossible to book and may have left it too late ( we arrive 1st August). Thanks again. Verity.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Verity call anyway - they may have a cancellation! Also, if you check nativetxn's thread out re IllumiNations Cruises you'll see that there's a Cruise central for August for those who will share their cruises - the cost is per cruise and not per person so many guests like to share the cost between them.

And, whenever you book something, mention you are on honeymoon. There's no guarantee it will bring anything extra special, but there is always a chance they will acknowledge you in some way.

And definitely have a meal at Tchoup Chop in Universal's Royal Pacific Resort. It's the perfect romantic venue, along with Atlantis at the Renaissance Resort by SW.

On our wedding day we ate at Victoria and Alberts it was very romantic:D You could eat at one of the restaurants at the Boardwalk which is lovely at night, then walk around the lake and spend some time sitting on the beach swings:D Definately try for an Illuminations cruise cancellation this was wonderful.

We got our M & M ears at Downtown Disney :D
