Help for DTD Resort for Parents

Hi, my parents are arriving a day before our joint ressies start & decided they'd like to stay close to Downtown Disney so they could explore. Could anyone recommend some nice, reasonable (even bargain???) hotels within walking distance or that offers a shuttle/bus service. We once got the Hilton on Priceline, but I'm not real familiar with the other possibilities. TIA!!
