We have never done the DDP before. Because of our touring and eating habits at WDW, TIW has always worked better for us. We also normally have a full kitchen using a DVC one-bedroom where we keep a lot of stuff to eat some of our meals.
Our upcoming trip we will be staying in a studio for five nights. I am thinking that with the shorter stay, and no full kitchen, it might be time to take advantage of the DDP. The problem is that part of our stay will be during the increased price period for the DDP ($46.99/day/person) and part during the regular price period ($41.99/day/person).
Since our stay spans both periods, how do they charge for the DDP? Do they charge every night based on the rate when you check in (happens to be during the higher rate dates) or do they charge based on each day of your stay (higher rate for the first three nights, and then the regular rate for the final two nights of our stay)?
I can't seem to find anything about this anywhere and I am trying to crunch the numbers to see what works best for us this trip. TIA!
