We are planning our first ever Family Christmas trip 2006. We have been to Disney 3 times, but not at Christmas. Everything I have read talks about how extremely busy Disney is at Christmas. My question is, is it worth going at this time of the year or would we be better suited to try a different time? I know the pricing is higher, but we are willing to spend the extra, I just want to make certain that we enjoy our time there.

Any help, suggestions, and ideas are greatly appreciated :wizard:

We are going the first week in Dec. We've read and heard that it is a slow time but you still get all the Christmas stuff with it!

I think that answer is all up to you. If you take your time and enjoy yourself and aren't easily bothered by crowds, then sure you will have a great time. My family was at WDW December 29-January 3 and we had a great time. We prepared ourselves for crowds-basically we knew it was a busy time, so we used fastpasses and just played everything by ear. We did one park a day-Monday and Tuesday were park days and then Wednesday was an "off day" we did downtown disney and swam in the heated pool and just took in the magical scenery. Thursday and Friday were park days and that worked for us. The weather was perfect everyday and we just soaked up every minute of the trip without over doing anything. Magic Kingdom was more crowded than any other park in my opinion. The decorations were beautiful!!!! I think if you go in thinking negative you will not have a good trip. So just do it and have fun!!! Think happy disney moments!!
