I posted this on a different section but I thought I would ask you all too!

We are leaving for our first family trip in 10 days and I am super excited! I have spent lots of time gathering info and planning so now I have a folder full of scribbles and post it notes. I need to put it all together in some form of order, but I am struggling with the easiest way to do so. I am terrible at creating spreadsheets, but think I need one for this. Does anyone have one that they would be willing to share with me?

Thanks!

best tip of all-- get to the parks when or before they open. you can do a half of a days worth in the first hour and a half if you are there on time. stay away from parks with evening extra magic hours unless you are staying untill 2 am or do not have a hopper. all of the people with a single park per day pass will be there. (get a hopper pass). go to parks with morning extra magic hours and again-- be there when they open, and leave when it gets crowded.

I don't know anything about spreadsheets, but maybe you could just categorize your scribbles based on park info, dining info, tips, hidden Mickey stuff, or whatever you have scribbled down. I always have my park day schedules written down too.

You can just type up a memo for each day. Remember to include your dining reservation number for each restuarant that you will be at each day.

Enjoy your trip!!

Oops. Double post

I have put together a spreadsheet that I used for our last trip, and I have updated it for our next trip. PM me with your email address and I will send it to you.

First of all I hope you have a great time on your first Disney Trip! I have created a Disney Binder. I used a small 3 ring binder. I use it each time I go. I have catagorized it as such: Resort reservation/info.. Flight reservation/info; What are we going to do today (what park and dining reservations; Quick serve menu's for each park; Snack list for each park; hidden Mickey info & fun facts; inportant phone numbers. I typed it all with Word and added some pictures and such. There are some sheet already made for you on the internet (also some ideas) Just type in Disney Binder in your search. I used the 3 ring binder and only take the info that I need for that day. Makes it a little lighter. I also have a place for info .... It took me about a day to type it out and organize it. I hope this is what you are looking for and that this helps.
Have fun...and a magical time...

Hey, Siouzee!

Have you ever heard of the Passporter Book? It's a sort of travel guide for Disney and is really helpful in that aspect. In addition--in the back it has what it calls "passpockets," Which are are folder-type pockets. On them, it has spaces printed so you can write your schedule for the day, ADRs etc. On the back, there are spaces for jotting memories of the day. This book can be immensely helpful to start out. I think I got mine at Barnes and Noble for around $13.

In addition, it sounds like you've been gathering tips and tricks and all the lovely little tidbits that surfing the DISboards affords (Me too! Isn't it fun?) What works for me is to put them in a word document, bullet point style. organized by park. Then I print them out on 4 by 6 cards (you can do this by going to the layout tab in word, and choosing 4 by 6 form the size menu) And I put them in a little book I got from Michaels which was made for photos. This way, it fits in my bag and I can whip it out if I need it throughout the park.

Hope this is helpful!

Thank you all for the advice! I am still sorting through all the stuff and trying to determine what is worth doing and what isn't!

Count down has begun! WOO HOO!!!!!

I like to put as much info as possible on an excel spreadsheet then I shrink it down as much as possible
