hi everyone, love the info here! I'll be headed to DL 1/29 through 2/1 and staying at the Candy Cane Inn, it'll be my first time at both. I have a standard room with a small refrigerator and I was hoping someone could tell me how big they actually were, or how much food could be stored in one.

Also, has anyone had Albertsons deliver to CCI? I'll be on foot, and with the rain I'd rather have a few provisions delivered. I'm thinking sandwich materials and bottled water, but I'd also like to have some yogurt and any leftovers from meals stored in the fridge -- if it'll fit.

Any and all info is greatly appreciated, I'm so nervous about this trip I hope I did everything right. Thank you everyone.

It will be a small fridge, like a dorm room one. Although ours was a little bigger than the grandparents! It had plenty of room for yogurt, lunch meat, water in the door and any leftovers we brought back. Obviously not a whole pizza or anything.
I don't know about delivery though. The first time we just walked right next door to a little liqourstore/market. For fresh fruit we walked next door to that at 7/11. Every time since that we had a car and just drove to a regular store ourselves.
I think the grocery delivery sounds like a great help though. Think of how much you'll save just by bringing a water or two into the park with you every day!!

Also I always bring a few ziploc bags with me in assorted sizes. In the park they can hold left over grapes from meals, which make a good snack later. They also come in handy for the room to keep food fresh and if your leftovers box is too big, put them in a baggie in the fridge.

I always grab an extra banana or apple and maybe a muffin or bagel at breakfast in the morning. It makes a great snack when you come back to the room late! Often with my family they are to lazy to go get breakfast so I take the tray under the coffee maker and bring it back to the room for everyone to enjoy as they get ready to go in the morning.

Have a great time!!

We haven't stayed at the CC Inn but we did have Albertson's deliver to us at the Grand Californian last October. It's a great service and it saved us valuable vacation time. Everything was delivered as ordered and at the proper temperature. We are planning to do the same thing this year.

:surfweb: Hi we stayed at the CCI in June, we loved it! we took the shuttle bus back and forth to the park. across the street is a subway and a chinese place and maybe a pizza place also? we just walked next door to the 7-11 they have everything! have fun!!:wizard:

The thing I did not like about the fridge is it did not have a control knob. It seemed to keep our water bottles cool, but not cold by any means. We did keep food in there though and had no problems. I would not trust the freezer to freeze anything though. It was smaller than I thought. The one in our standard room rit into the same armorie as the TV and drawers. I believe that Albertson's does deliver. They do not have a microwave in the room, but you can use the one in the common area where breakfast is served.
