Calling all Disney experts!!
I am helping a friend of mine, She has been to WDW several times BUT has not been there in a couple of years, as Pixi Dust would have it they are going back!
One celebration they are celebrating is her 16 year old Daughter's Birthday... Her Daughter is an amazing person and LOVES Disney as much as we all do...
When she gets a little older she will be trying out for a princess for WDW!
I KNOW all of you have some great ideas in How to make a 16 year old 16th Birthday even MORE magical then ever!!! I can think of the IN Room Celebration...

THANK You in advance for all your help!!!pixiedust::worship::disrocks:

ahhhh that's good too!
what about in the parks? would 16 be too old BBB???

i'm living vicariously threw my friend until i can go in 2013!!

thank you for posting!!

I'm not sure if there is an age limit to BBB, but I don't think I've ever seen any teenagers participating. But it's worth a call to Disney I think!

What about a meal with the princesses? The meal at the castle or Akerhus in Epcot might be fun, plus I think the cake could be send there if they decided to do that.

Maybe an Illuminations or Wishes cruise? You can get picked up for those very close to the parks and theyll even throw a party on there for you if you request it(balloons and streamers and stuff). I think for a Disney nerd like me I would love to celebrate my birthday like that!

Another possibility is a Wishes dessert party! Sorry for the long message I just have lots of ideas and I've always wanted to celebrate my birthday in WDW!!

NO I really appreciate all of your ideas!!! I would have never thought of the cruises! and they decorate!!! How awesome is that!

Pretty soon i will be doing my own PTR and HOPE you will help me threw it!!!

Not sure about the BBB, but any age can do the barber shop on Main Street. They don't go all out like BBB, but they put "Pixie Dust" in their hair and it's really cute. I've seen it on someone's TR here....can't think of who, but the mom got it done too. It was neat. I don't know if you have to make reservations, or if it is just walk up, but it might be worth a call. And I think it was under $10! Definitely like the fireworks cruise idea. Someone else had an Illuminations cruise for his wife's birthday just recently posted on here. Sorry, I am so bad at remembering!

I love the In room celebrations. we had it done and WOW do they do it up. The Wishes Dessert party sounds pretty good too... I might do that our next trip!

How about Pirates League?? It looks like even adults can do that and they have a mermaid package that would be fun. Might be something special for her birthday.

I don't think she is into that.. but harmony barber shop is def up her alley and her Mom's...

Ugh. I want to do my OWN TR!!!!!!!! but it's not until Sept 2013....

How about Afternoon Tea in the Grand Floridian, that sounds like a wonderful mother and daughter type of afternoon :)

OH the Wishes Dessert party is AWESOME! did it for the first time in May 2012 and will be doing it each trip long as it offered!

One of the TRs I am reading right now just did a review of this. It looks sooooo good. I tried to get an ADR for sometime during our trip coming up, but they are all booked everyday. Not a surprise with only two weeks out, but I won't give up. You never know when there will be a cancellation. But that sounds like a great idea for you Mo!

Yay! Glad to hear this as we have our first dessert party planned in a couple weeks!

I see you are from Standish....:wave2: Howdy neighbor....I live in Cornish!

OMG Hi Suzi! Nice to meet you - I know some peeps in Cornish (Buzzell is the last name) You are going to love the dessert party! my only complaint was that I was soo excited to have one of the tables for 2 right up front and a big group of people stood right in front of us so we had an obstructed view of the castle show --- next time I am dragging my chair up there and holding my spot! but the desserts were FAB!!!!!
