Are you asked to show proof when entering the parks or when you purchase park-hopper passes (since you don't necessarily have to buy them onsite). We will be visiting friends in Nov and are planning on taking their 3 DS to the parks (in
exchange for staying at their home). Since they cannot attend also (working), technically the "Florida residents"
will not be with us at WDW. What should we do?

(PS - Are they still $99 for a 3-day pass?)

bumping, hoping for a response...is the Fla. resident
$99 park pass still available????

Those passes aren't available after September 30th.

It is $99 for a 4 day hopper. The adults must show proof of FL residency to get the actual tickets(vouchures are bought ahead of time and exchanged at the parks). Names and fingerscans are used. I think if the kids had some sort of ID about there FL. residency it might work. I would call Disney and ask! If they are residents they should be able to prove it(school id??). You would not be able to get one though. They must be used by Sept 30th.
PS-If you are having to buy the passes and it is after Sept. you would be cheaper off staying in a resort! Nice thing to take kids though!:D

Do both need Fl. ID? I breifly toyed with the Idea of getting a Fl. Drivers L., temp., but Dh thought I would have to give them my states Dr. L.??

The Florida DMV has a pretty comprehensive site and near as I could tell, you have to have a plan to surrender your current other-state driver's license to acquire a Florida one.

Believe it or not, this is not to subvert those who are trying to do what you want to do (which I would like to do as well). It is to prevent people with driving infractions from "hiding" in the system. However, it effectively blocks our motives as well.

As for a Florida residents ID - the only other acceptable Florida ID at Disney - I do not remember what they (DMV) required - just a utility bill, I think (in your name, with a Florida address). Obvioiusly, here they are less concerned with criminal cheating relative to cars, insurance, etc.....

I had gotten a FL Id with just a letter written to me at the address... I ended up letting it expire!
