We're used to staying at Disney's value resorts, but DH wants to spend less than $84 a night for our next quick weekend trip. We live about 2 hours away and just want to drive up on a Thursday, stay two nights and go to one Disney park. We would like to stay as close to Disney property as possible. Are there any nice hotels around that area for $60-$70/night?

I'd try Priceline. Bid on hotels in the Lake Buena Vista, 4 stars and above, and you might end up with the Hilton or Palace, or maybe the Gaylord.

You might want to use kayak.com -- they search multiple online booking sites to get the lowest rate...

Hope that helps!

We just got back last night from a short trip. We stayed for 2 nights at Comfort Inn LBV on Palm Parkway-I was surprised by how close it actually is to Disney property having never stayed offsite before and not knowing the Orlando area. I paid $40 night from a deal they were advertising on travelzoo. It is a basic hotel, looked older, etc. but our room was clean and had a fridge/microwave and small coffepot. Pool area looked clean and well maintained but didn't use it. Overall it was worth what we paid, would use it again if I was looking for a budget hotel. If you have any ?'s I can try to answer them....
