I am used to booking flights around Canada and the US....however booking our flights for Germany are stressing me out!

I don't want to wait too long and be booking anywhere near last minute. All the flights seem similar in price, except if we use Icelandair. They are a about $500 (at least) cheaper then other carriers, they also have the shortest flights. Our intention is to fly out of Denver. If we do with the cost savings on the flights we could spend some time in Iceland before Germany helping to get rid of some of the jet lag....and adding some early fun to our trip.

any suggestions? Has anyone flown with Icelandair?

I haven't flown Icelandair, but I know a lot of people like them.

Sayhello

I've heard good things about Icelandair. They have a deal where you can stopover in Iceland for several days for no additional airfare cost.

Thank you both...that is what I was hopping to hear! For the extra money we save flying with them we can actually put it to fun stuff!

Now I guess we decide what to do in Iceland....the blue lagoon or horseback riding...perhaps both!:cool1:

Does Icelandair show up on the consolidated displays like Kayak or do I need to search for their website?
We are looking for flights for the London / Paris ABD trip next summer.

It showed up on farebuzz once and cheapoair once, but i found a better rate when i went directly to their website. For us they also had the least connections.

We've used Iceland air many times and had no problems. Although we did not actually do a long layover in Iceland, the flights have generally been on time without a hitch and the airport in Reykjavik is very easy to negotiate.
Enjoy!!!
