Help!! Emergency question - making fast pass choices tonight!!

Hi all,

June 21st is my fastpass selection day, so I thought I would stay up till midnight tonight to do my fast pass selections (since last year I was so busy at work, I completely forgot & did it 40 days out)

However, when I went to my Disney account tonight (I went to the "make a fast pass + selection) I noticed that my daughter did not show up as a "select" (that person) choice. I was there (since I manage the account) and my son and my husband was there, she was the only one in my party missing. I called Disney and they said that it's because the tickets that I have bought for this upcoming August trip, are not activated till the 60 day window opens. The reason she said that my son and husband are there is because there are non-expiring tickets in my account that are associated with their names. (I checked they are both listed as having non-expiring tickets). So she is saying that this is very common, I should not worry and that when the 60 day window time pops up, she will be listed. Does anyone know if this is accurate??

Also, I thought I would be able to make my fast pass choices at midnight, but the Disney rep said that since the Magic Kingdom closes at 2AM tonight, I cannot make my fast pass ressies till2:01AM. Yikes!! Has anyone been able to make their fastpass plus ressies at midnight when the park closed later?

Thanks so much for any advice, I am really worried that my daughter's name will not pop up and I wont have my fast passes for everyone in my family.

Tickets are not activated until they're physically used to enter a park and the phone CM was wrong. Your daughter should be showing in your MDE account and I would call back and speak to someone else in regard to the matter. Call the IT department.

First of all, the MK has EMH tonight until 2 am, not regular hours. So your window will open at midnight. EMH have never affected FP+ windows. Latest reports even have FP+ windows opening at midnight for 1 am regular closings, in fact.

For your daughter's ticket, is it showing in MDE as properly linked? Could you make FP+ for her within the next 30 days? I know you aren't going then, but that confirms that it is a valid ticket and properly linked. If the above is true, then yes, she will be eligible when the window opens.

Hi no I can't make a FP+ for her because she does not come up in my family & friends under the fast pass but she she is listed on the reservation and listed under my family and friends account in my MDE account, i'm so confused!!!!

This stay was purchased through disney for all of us (I booked a bounce back) So is it a problem that I can't make any fast pass + choices for her using the 30 day window? (I can for me, my son & husband though)

A friend of mine just made her FP selections a few nights ago. Her family members were also not available to select at day 61. But at midnight when her FP selections opened up, everyone was there. I think it will be alright.

Update: I just called again and spoke to a different CM in the fast pass plus department.

This board is always the best source of information! She confirmed that:

1. I DO NOT have to stay up till 2AM to make my fast pass ressies. It is midnight, 12:01, regardless of when parks the close (so, yes the first CM I spoke to gave me misinformation)

2. She explained that when you buy a room/ticket package like I did, the people will not show up for fast pass plus options until the 60 day window opens at midnight. The only reason why my husband and son are coming up is because they have non-expiring tickets linked to the MDE account. The only reason why I showed up is because I manage all our accounts.

Wish me luck, I will repost after midnight, hopefully it will go ok!

It used to be if the MK regular hours were after midnight then the FP+ window would not open until then but I can confirm first hand that is no longer the case. I was dreading staying up until 1am on a Monday into Tuesday night/morning after being up until midnight for a week (off site has to do one day at a time) and was soooo happy when I refreshed at midnight and my day was available. Yay! Happy it worked out for you! I made all our fp+ reservations yesterday, I had fun and we got everything we were looking for. So glad you got what you were looking for too!
