help!!!!! dvc mini cassette question

Hi all
My dad just got a new video camera he can't figure out--
and neither can my husband and I--

Does anyone know if the tdk dvc mini cassettes have an adpater that you can pop the tape in and directly play in your vcr

We use the cables that came with ours and hook it up to the TV.

I have never seen a cassette adaptor for the vcr for Mini-dv tapes. I have seen the adaptors for VHS-C tapes.

We use the A/V cables to watch our videos on the tv.

my husband, my dad and I have tried to hook up to the tv and the vcr with the cables and we can't get it too work

My husband and I are usually pretty good at hooking stuff up- never had a problem with my camera.

We can't figrue my dad's new camera for him--
and before we all turn into this

I was hoping there was a quick fix adapter we caould buy--
but thanks for all the quick replies

you should just have to hook the video cable that came with the camera into the camera and the tv or vcr and if you plug it into the vcr the tv has to be on the video channel. It is kind of like if you were playing a video game system.

I have the mini dvc camera as well. I use the camera, connected directly to the tv to watch the videos. We also use the A/V wires. I know on our tv, when using these wires, the tv has to be on the 'input' channel, not channel 3 or 4. Have you tried tuning your tv to this? (our remote has an input button...if yours doesn't, just tune one channel under channel 2 and that should be it).
