Well, it's been 6 months since our last trip and DS8 and I are having serious separation issues!!! A few days ago we were coming home from one of DS's hospital visits and he asked to listen to the "Wishes" CD I have in my car. Well, he was just singing along happy as a little lark. Next thing I know, he is SOBBING in the back seat!! I thought he was sick or hurt or something. So I pull off the interstate to see what the problem is and he barely squeaks out "mommy, I want to go back SO bad. I miss DisneyWorld. Do we HAVE to wait 3 years??" Well, I wanted to pull out my laptop and book the trip right there on the side of Interstate 70!!!! Wish I could do that. I wish, I wish . . .

A wish is a dream your heart makes . . .

But I digress. Anyone else having withdrawls?? I need a fix! BADLY!!!! Oh My Gosh, I ADMIT IT!!! I'm a Disney Junkie!!!!

Hello, my name is Joshsmom, and I'm a Disneyholic!

Did you sign up for the DISNEY ONLY EXCHANGE? If so, then you will be getting some Disney items, not the same as going on a trip, but it's still a surprise having to do with Disney.

Me! Me! Me!

Last time DH and I went was in March 2003 and we won't be able to go back probably until December 2005! I miss it SOOO much...and I just cannot wait to bring DS. Right now, he's still a bit too young (he's only 12 months) so that makes it a little better. *sigh*

Nope, haven't been on the boards for a REALLY long time. Ok, a few months. But I've missed everyone and now with both Josh and I having these crying spurts over missing WDW, I felt I needed to get back to my support group!!!

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: Hi everybody!

I know just how you feel. The last time my son & I went was in Feb 2002. We had a trip planned for last Oct, but his medical condition worsened in July so it doesn't look like we will ever go again. He is 34, but with a genetic condition that gets worse as he ages. He is now on oxygen 24/7, & I can't figure out how to get him to Disneyworld. At least we did go a lot since I knew this would be happening, and we have all the shows, parades, many attractions, etc on tape so he enjoys that.
Hope you can get a trip in sooner than next year, at least have some fun planning it!

Randi, I hope you can find a way too, and praying that your son's condition doesn't deterioate(sp).

To the OP, DD3 takes the 20 minute Disney vacation package video and watches it daily. Meanwhile, we bought season passes to the nearest amusement park (hour away). No Disney magic, but it's a nice diversion. Working on a one day trip next year.

Hi Joshsmom.. nice to see you again..

have you ever considered a quickie, short and VERY low budget trip?? It can be done.. sometime people get caught up in the DIS and the nice resorts and the wonderful restuarants but it is possible to do a very low budget trip..

We have driven down, camped at FT wilderness, cooked and carriied in our food / water into the parks, gone to timeshare presentations to get cheap tickets.. enjoyed being there and done the free things.

Just a thought...

Same here! Oh, it's only been 5 months! Man, I waited 7 years to go back and the last 5 months feels like 5 years. I would go back in an instance. I'm already cutting back on buying anything I don't need so that I can hopefully go back in the near future. I'll keep on working and saving. I'm just worried I won't have enough money. I can scrimp, I'll stay at the cheapest hotel, eat off the kids menu, do anything I can to get there! For the meantime, I think I'll go watch that Drew Carey Disney World 25th Anniversary special with Will Friedel and Melissa Joan Hart, I've seen it a million times over :earsgirl:

I feel your pain. We just came back and I'm having withdrawals! It'll probably be another 3 years before we get back there. Makes me sad to think about it. :( I'm living on the memories from our recent trip and living through Dan's great picture threads.

Dan I love those photo's thanks again. A few more day and we'll be there, it's been so long. My kids told me last night it's a great summer because they're going to Disney.

Give this a look (Photo site is working again.) I know what you mean, always nice to be planning a trip.

Dan,

Walt is smiling down on you for keeping his Magic alive and sharing it with all of us. Thanks for the photos--they help!

geffric -- I have thought about a drive-down trip--we usually stay at ASM, so that's not TOO expensive. But, alas, I don't have any more vacation days (have to save them up). Maybe something wonderful will happen and we will get to take a trip before 2007--that seems an awfully LONG time to go without seeing Mickey!!!

Thanks for all the support everyone!!

And I was JUST THERE in June, but, only visited EPCOT!:p I wanna August trip so bad, I can taste it! ::yes::
