Help. [Dream Prizes]

Like I've previously posted, all last year we didn't receive a single dream. 10 days at WDW and AP to DLR. :confused3 We never even saw one given out. However, this year, now that I made the decision that we are going to get to the parks early (at, or close to opening time) we have lucked out the last 3 trips (in a row) All dreams (with the exception of extra hour at DCA )were awarded early in the day. Within the first few hours of opening. And yes, I've kept my eyes, and ears, open to the opportunities. The first time we lucked into the Dream FP after Indy so the next time we went there first thing again, and we lucked into the hats. Last trip I heard someone behind me asking where they got it. I turned around and saw they had Dream FP. We ran to the location (King Triton fountain) that she mentioned and got ours! If I hadn't been paying attention, I would have missed it.

Now my DD8 knows that if I say we're going to DL on Sunday, that it means getting up early so we can try to score a Dream!

Good luck everyone and keep your eyes, and ears :earsgirl: open!

While most Dreams are random, not all are. We met a Dream Team member who planned to meet us 2 days later for an afternoon of Dreams. She said that all she had to do was check in periodically with her partner and the afternoon was ours. It was an amazing afternoon/evening but it was random and not computer generated. pixiedust: This was at WDW. We also received a few other Dreams throughout the trip including numerous FPs, a private meet with Cinderella, Safari Family, and Splash Family of the day. :woohoo:

we leave in less than 12 hours.
im not packed!
ahh!:earseek:

well thanks everyone for your help..
here's to hoping for a dream come true.
i'll tell everyone what happens
when i get back.

I won February 29 across from the Bug's Land Entrance. It was around 11 and we got Dream Fastpasses. I was so excited!!:cool1:

I'm an AP holder (used it for three months before I moved from California) and I was only dreamed once. Ironically, it was my last day in California. I had my baby sister with me and since I'd never been on Tarzan's Treehouse, I decided to visit it once before I left. As I was climbing it, I noticed there were cast members down at the bottom who were handing out ears to people...I was very, very thick and thought that there was a stand down there and people were buying them. :rotfl: Anyway, I eventually got down to the bottom, and as I was exiting the treehouse they handed me and my sister a hat. :) I was very happy and a bit surprised!

I'm going again in May, on the 16th, 19th and 20th, so I'm going to try and get there early each day and see if I get dreamed...I would LOVE a FP.

My twin boys were dreamed the special pins and lanyards from the first YOAMD when the dreams theme had just begun. They were dressed in some really cute custom-made Peter Pan & Captain Hook costumes and were dreamed at the DL Hotel. I think their cute costumes helped them stand out from the crowd and got them noticed. The CM specifically mentioned their costumes and how he had never seen a more realistic Pan and Hook costume anywhere when they were dreamed. It was a fun, and very memorable experience for them.

Thanks for all your tips and notes on the Dream Teams. We just went to our first DL trip last week.

My dad needed a cigarette, and while in the smoking area near Thunder Ranch, I saw these 3 people walking along the route. Remembering what I had read here, I watched them closely, but they were moving around at a good clip and as my dad is handicapped and my DD is 5, I didn't want to just follow them around. As they passed the area and got to the bridge, I realized they had stopped and were pulling something out of a bag. I grabbed my DD's hand and RAN! :yay:

We got Dream Fastpasses! :wizard: Yeah! I frantically waved my dad over and asked for 1 for my son, but was told he'd have to be present. I walked back to the smoking area and told the folks sitting there to RUN - most people looked at me as though I was nuts:sad2: , but one couple did. When they returned, I explained what the passes were... they were so excited... we ran into them later in the day and they thanked us PROFUSELY!:thumbsup2

Later, we were at the Pirates ride and Eric (Cast member):lovestruc congratulated us on the passes and asked if everyone in our party got one. I said, no, sadly. He then told us to head over to City Hall and they would give everyone in our party one (we got 3 for 6 people originally).

Later, when describing what had happened to folks who asked about the Fastpasses, my stepmom told me that although she's been to DL several times in the past 3 years, she'd never heard of the dreams and would've also thought I was nuts.:lmao:

Thanks all!

I am wondering if a smaller group has a better chance of being picked by the dream team. There was a CM on the bridge of CA Adventures, and she stopped our group and asked us if we would like priority seating to Fantasmic that night. She asked how many were in our group and when we said 11, she said she had to make a call because they usually wouldn't authorize a group that big. She came back and apologized and said she couldn't arrange it for a group as large as ours and gave the kids mini posters of High School Musical instead. Anyone have something like that happen to them?:confused3

we walked into disney on sat and were by the castle and noticed they were handing out the ears so we got the ears. . . well later we rode pirates and the nimrods in both the boths in front and back of us were taking pictures with the all annoying flashes on and I had a nasty migraine by the time it was over, so we left there, went to guest services to complain that not once tdid they come onoverhead and say do not use your flash, wow i got side tracked there. so after that we went do dca and hubby and kids rode monsters inc, while I sat on a bench relaxing which did help get rid of the migraine. . . well i noticed people leaving monsters with fastpasses. .. yep you guessed it off walk the kids and hubby and there they get that. well I told hubby to tell them why his wife did not ride and there was another woman not in a deam suit standing by. . . she zipped one out of her fanny pack for me. . . and asked how i was feeling now. . .

later that day several people asked how we won. . they did not understand and mind you some had APS,did not understand that you had to walk by them. . . they thought because of the commercials that someone would walk up to them. ..

soooo there advertising sucks on that part of it, cuz it is not clear that you need to walk by them, they are not going to go to you. . . for most of the things anyway. . congrats on those that won!

the hats were about 9ish near the castle. . . the next day we were getting off peter pan and you know how sometimes the family gets separted?? well we had a ship in between us so dh got off first and he told me to hurry and run with them. . . yeah like i was gonna run.. . well same place we get them the day prior they were handing out hats again in that area, sorry do not remember the time on that one. the fast passes. . . well I had a nasty headache/migraine I was dealing with, so time at that point meant nothing to me. . . it was still in the early hours of DCA being opened though. .
