Hello,

By now i'm sure you've seen many threads with advice on how to obtain a dream prize. In March, I will be going to Disneyland with my
family. In 2006/2007 we went five times. Every trip, we saw the dream squad and just missed them. It's our dream to obtain one of
those coveted Dream Fastpasses. This trip, we're determined. If you have won any prize from the Dream Squad, please tell me:

What day of the week it was
approx. what time
&
where in the parks you were

Thank You

I think the whole idea of the dreams giveaway is that it's totally totally random... as in like a computer generates the when, where, and what's, and the Dream-CM's are just told what to do. I don't really think it would be possible to make a plan as to how to win. :(

It truly is random and there is no telling when or where a prize will be given.
We have never been dreamed at DL or DCA. I haven't even seen the Dream Team at either park. Oh, well...there is always September.

When we went to WDW, a Dream Team member stopped us and I was soo sure he was gonna give us something. He wanted my DD's autograph for his autograph book.:lovestruc She was dressed like Snow White and he said he needed a princess to sign his book. It was adorable. And we didn't get dreamed but that act in itself left us with a sweet memory.

I hope you don't mind if I share:

However, we did get dreamed a few days later at AK will some dream fastpasses.:rotfl:

We were dreamed mid-afternoon getting off of Dumbo. I do think it is totally random, though. They wear coats until they get to their destination and then take it off to show their vests. We weren't expecting it at all--I don't think you can really spend your time and energy trying to find them, you won't enjoy the parks.

Can somebody explain this please? I have lived in California all my life and I have never heard of this.

I've read several times of CM's asking young kids to sign their autograph books at WDW, but I've never heard or seen it happen at DLR, has anyone seen this at DLR? Or is this just a WDW thing?

candied, it's part of the Year (second year, lol) of a Million Dreams at Disney.

OP, it's all random and computer-generated (Dream Team must be at x place at y time and hand out z thing(s)).

However, it seems that the earlier at the parks you can be, the better.

And there are places I've heard of that seem to get chosen by the computer most often...coming out of Tiki Room, the path near Rancho del Zocalo, behind Dumbo at the ride vehicle on the ground, and so on. On my solo trip I kept going by those places, just in case. :)

Bumbershoot is so right!! Especially the earlier you are there the better chance you have. I have not one anything in my trips (about 10+) including at WDW but kept seeing people get dreamed.

I was told certain prizes must be handed out early for them to be "used" like the Room prize because you are also in the parade. And dream passes mean a whole lot more to you in the morning then an hour before the parks close.

But some prizes can go all day.

In the end it is the luck of the draw.

We did get spoiled by a Guest though who gave me and my niece a DFP it was great!

I've read several times of CM's asking young kids to sign their autograph books at WDW, but I've never heard or seen it happen at DLR, has anyone seen this at DLR? Or is this just a WDW thing?

This was at the MK in WDW. I have not spotted a Dream Team CM at DLR. I know that they are there...just haven't been lucky.

We've been dreamed twice. We got the fastpasses near Tower of Terror, and free 5x7 pictures by BTMR.

Getting off of Small World on our last day the family in front of us got pulled aside. My guess is they got something big! Darn it! :)

But yes I think it's totally random. We didn't get dreamed at all on our trip last June. Both of those times was in Oct. Just pure luck!

We have been four times since they started the giveaway and have won on each four trips:

All were before 10 a.m. in the morning.

First trip:
first ride of the day of our first family trip coming off Autopia given dream fastpasses and free 5x7's

Second trip:
Lanyards in DTD after Storytellers breakfast

Third trip:
Dream fastpasses on the walkway to the left of the castle
Dream ears in walkway between Dumbo and Casey Jr.
these were within five minutes of each other

Last trip a few weeks ago:

Dream fastpasses to the left of the castle
Dream fastpasses by Village Haus walking to BTMRR, 50 yds. down the pathway was a second dream team handing out fastpasses again (darn, wanted ears!!)
Dream fastpasses by the train in NOS

Granted we keep an eye out and know what the team wears, etc. A lot of it is being aware of your surroundings. If you see a mass of people with ears walking away from Snow White then you can reason that the team is possibly at the exit of the ride.

I also think a good amount of luck is needed.

Last year we got dream fast passes early in the morning exiting Space Mountain.

We were in the parks for 16 days in 2007 and only won one prize in the park. We saw the dream squad in the morning on the brdige between the castle and rancho del zocalo and we won fastpasses.

I actually mailed in postcards when the promotion began and have won over 20 items (lanyards & pins and dream ears).

My sister got her prize getting off Buzz lightyear one morning.

This was at the MK in WDW. I have not spotted a Dream Team CM at DLR. I know that they are there...just haven't been lucky.

Yep! They're there alright! I've spotted them, but haven't won anything.. But, I was wondering about asking kids to sign their autograph books?! I've never heard of anyone at DLR have this happen to them, only at WDW...

We have AP to DLR and also went to WDW in Sept. 07, but only recently have we been awarded any dreams.

First time, we arrived at DL before opening and as soon as it opened we went to Indy ride. As we exited, Dream Makers were there handing out Dream Fast Passes. This was on a Wednesday, in Jan. 08, first thing in the a.m. (park opened at 10 a.m.) Unfortunately (or fortunately ?) we didn't need to use them as the park wasn't busy that day and many of the FP lines weren't even open. Oh well, we have a nice souvenir. :goodvibes

Last trip (Mon, Feb. 11th) we arrived at DL just after opening and, again, rode Indy first. Yep, you guessed it, DM were there again, this time handing out Hats. Yeah! :wizard: (of course since it was a holiday for many schools that day, a Dream FP would have been nice.) But we were happy to get the hats (finally)

After DL got busy, we crossed over to DCA. I was keeping an eye out for DM and as we went to get in line for Orange Stinger, I caught a glimpse of DM giving away something on a cord (Dream Passes?!). DD and I hustled over there and they were giving out admission to stay one hour after the park closed (DCA only, 8 p.m.) Tried to get one for DSis who was catching a smoke :smokin: but DM said she had to be present. This was probably about 11:30ish, they were partially hidden behind the S.S. Rustworthy, just to the right of Pizza Ooh Mow Mow. They were there for quite awhile giving them out. They were still there about 1/2 hour later so I told a family we passed about them and pointed them in the right direction. We also noticed alot of the guests in DCA that day, had the tickets (on cords around their necks) The must have given out hundreds that day. Again, we didn't use them since we weren't staying all day, but (again) they make a nice souvenir.

When we went to WDW in Sept. 2007, we never even saw a DM, but we also never got there when the park opened. And yes, they only give out Dreams when they are wearing their white vest.

So, to recap, all of 2007, both at DLR and WDW we didn't receive 1 Dream.:confused3 In 2008, we've received 3 already, but have arrived first thing in the a.m.

HTH-good luck everyone:wizard:

I am aware it is completely random
however i hear the same place being hit

if i can find enough info,
there has to be a pattern
somewhere
somewhere in the system

Good Luck! I've never even actually SEEN anyone from the Dream Squad, and we logged in around 30 individual days to DLR so far during this promo, and 7 full days in WDW last month.

I think it's all an illusion still ;) Who knows, we'll be back on Sunday for a brief visit.

Last week we were dreamed twice
1) By snow whites wishing well DS & DDinL received an hour after hours pass (we got ours at City hall)

2) My 9DD and I were leaving the Maliboomer (after she convicned me to ride a second time and the Team was giving out magic fast passes to riders departing the ride

I narrowly missed dream lanyards in downtown disney as daughter was getting her Libby Do.
