Hey guys,
I'm going to Islands of Adventure next week for the first time as a part of a school trip. I not that big into rollercoasters and I'm not a thrill junkie. Do you have any suggestions on what are the best rides and/or attractions for someone like me?

Thanks alot,
Alyx92

I'm a certified ride chicken (just ask my kids). Having said that I rode everything in IOA except for Hulk, Dr. Doom and Dueling Dragons. Everything else was fine, although I did close my eyes on the down part of Spiderman (don't miss it, its a really great ride).

Loved Dueling Dragons but got motion sickness on Caroseussal.:confused3

Jurrasic Park!!! lots to do besides the River ride. There are so many little things that people miss like squirting the rafters from the Olive because they concetrate on the big rides.

I like to people watch too! There is so much to do. Go have fun

You can hang out in the Jurassic Park playground for quite a while. The Discovery Centre is fun. You can do everything in Suessville. It is great squirting people on the Ripsaw Falls ride. You can see Poseidan's Fury and the Sinbad show. If it is warm, you can definitely do Popeye's water ride too.

I just returned - I loved the Poseidon show - and also loved Spiderman - The Jurassic playground area is really special - I would encourage you to walk thru it - Nicely done.

I would never do HULk, DD,Fearfall etc - to give you some perspective.

Everything in Seussville is also great to look at - with or without kids. Take time to appreciate the port of Entry area - lots of neat details.

My DS (18) HATES all forms of roller coasters but loves Spiderman, Men in Black, and Terminator. The Makeup Show at US is great too. There are great thrill rides that I and my DD love to go on but there is plenty else to do. Have a great time and explore!

i went a couple weeks ago with a friend who doesn't ride rollercoasters. you can still have fun. i would recommend doing everything in the dr.seuss area. there is nothing very high and/or scary. one fish two fish red fish blue fish is sooooooo much fun! its like the dumbo ride at MK except you can get wet!

i also recommend watching the jurassic park ride come down a few times just because its fun to watch the peoples reactions and maybe get wet if its hot?

in the lost continent theres a kiddie coaster called the flying unicorn (i think thats what its called?) thats also fun if you want to do something daring ;)

then go on the popeye ride but keep in mind YOU WILL GET WET! this ride everyone can go on and have a good time so you wont feel left out if your friends all like coasters.

finally ride spiderman (a definate must see its so cool and unlike anything i've ever ridden) and theres another ride near the hulk rollercoaster that spins (like the tea cups at disney). you don't have to spin your cart , but again everyone can still have fun. i would also reccomend seeing the poseidon and sinbad shows like everyone else has said. poseidon's pretty cool (even if you do have to walk through it) and sinbad is just funny.

oh and don't forget to just sit and look around everyonce in awhile b/c the themeing is pretty cool in most places. oh and it doesn't hurt to have a snack while everyone else is on the coaster. i suggest ice cream!

so thats it sorry its so long! have fun on your trip!

wow. I havent been here in a while!

So its been like, a year since i asked the question and returned from my trip but i stumbeled across the thread aand i realized i had fogotten to follow up! I just wanted to thank everyone for your help and i had a gr8 time at the park. Disney is still better tho :)

Thanks!!!
