Hi,
Our family is planning a Jan 1-6 trip to WDW for our DD's 9th b-day on Jan2 and need some input as to where to stay (I'm agonizing about this a bit!). We've been wanting to try the boardwalk area and AKL (have stayed at WL, Poly, POFQ and ASmovies), and if we knew for sure that general public codes would be released, we'd wait it out. But... we have the opportunity to rent DVC points for a confirmed preferred view studio at a reasonable rate.

So....Do we wait for codes (for AKL) and/or teacher discounts (for Dolphin), or do we go with the BWV?

What do you think???
THANKS!

BWV! If you have a confirmed preferred view that's the best! BWV in my opinion is a perfect location and the nicer of all the others you've talked about. Not to mention that you're propbably getting a better deal on the daily price per day for the room! You'll love BWV's! It's one of my favorite places to stay!

I agree with karebear1! We have stayed at various properties (although not AKL), and rented points for BWV studio in April. And, prior to checking in a BWV, we stayed 3 nights at the Dolphin. BWV is closer to everything than the Dolphin, but we certainly enjoyed staying there as well.

We are going back over X-mas, renting a 2 bedroom BWV for 8 nights! It is a wonderful spot, so close to Epcot, the Boardwalk activities, etc. There were several dining options within close walking distance, not to mention all of the restaraunts at Epcot. The bus to MK ran every 10 minutes or so! It was fantastic.

It is a hard decision to make, but as a BWV owner, I'd have to go with that! We love the BoardWalk, and I'm sure you will, too! The villas are so nice!

Enjoy!

Thanks, everyone, for your input! I'm leaning toward BWV, with the thought that, hey, there's always another trip to try AKL...!

:goodvibes
Thanks again!

You can book through CRO and pay their rates on their terms; or, make a private reservation through a DVC member and pay their rate on their terms.

If you book directly through Disney, you will get a full cleaning every day like you would at any other Disney resort.

If you book through a member, you will only get Trash and Towels on Day 4 or Full Cleaning on Day 4 if you stay at least 8 nights.

A studio and one bedroom will sleep 4 plus one under the age of 3. A two bedroom 8, plus one. A grand villa (they are limited in number) 12, plus one.

Hi thanks.
do you know how I wouls book through a member?
sorry, haven't got a clue where to start. hope you can help

Janine, you can check out the Rent/Trade Board on the DIS. Read a few of the sticky threads at the top which give you an idea of what it is all about.

My family of 5 is staying in a one-bedroom BWV in June and I can't wait. I say rent points from a DVC owner.
