HELP!!! We leave in 12 days and I am questioning my itinerary. "Sources" say the Tuesday is the primo day for MK, however that is the day we are arriving and departing. Second best is listed as Sat. so below is my plan:

-Arrive 10:20, be at MK by around 2?
-MGM
+EPCOT
-AK
-MK
-FREE Day(by then we will have hit every park and will no where we need to back track
-EPCOT
-MK until about noon

So, questions...this is our 1st trip and kids are 6, 8, and 9. Is this enough time at MK? All other days are listed as "avoid" MK. I also wonder if showing up at Mk midday will ruin the effect, as opposed to arriving before opening on our first day. Any suggestions? Thanks :)

I personally think your itinerary looks fine. Being an avid planner as well, it is natural to start second guessing yourself when you get this close to your vacation. You'll have a blast no matter what you do or when you do it.

The Magic Kingdom is almost always busy and always magical! Go and have fun! :cool1:

Since you are going during what should be a slower time (end of August, beginning of September) ... I don't think you need to be *as* worried about what days you go to what park or getting to MK on a Tuesday. I always go off season and while I do plan, I don't worry about it as much as those going during summer or busy holiday weeks. I think you are going to find the crowds pretty managable. -- When I go, I just avoid whatever park is having it's EMH and I do fine.

Aside from that, I don't know about going to MK the 1st day at 2pm. That is going to be the most crowded and hottest part of the day. I would recommend going to MK early on your 1st full day for maximum MK appreciation. Maybe think about going to MGM or Epcot that first day at 2pm?

I think your plan looks fine. We love going to MK on the first day! I see you have other days planned there, so anything you miss the first time, you will be able to see later. Looking at the time you are going, I think you will be fine at any park on any day. FP has made it so much easier and with a little planning, you can cut wait times down a lot. Enjoy your first trip! Your kids(and you) will love the MK! :goodvibes
